Hotel Groenhof is a family hotel in Amsterdam known for its outstanding service and very friendly staff. The hotel is situated in the heart of Amsterdam on the Vondelstraat, near Leidseplein. Within 5 minutes walking distance are the museums, the Van Gogh-, Stedelijk-, Rijksmuseum and Flower market. Amsterdam entertainment places, restaurants, bars, casino, rent-a-bike, etc,etc. are within 3 minutes walk. Amsterdam RAI the conference and exhibition centre is easily accessible by tram (10 minutes), taxi or bike. Amsterdam is famous for its diamonds and a visit to the diamond-museum is a few minutes walk Hotel Groenhof in Amsterdam offers 40 well-equipped rooms including 6 family rooms of 5, 4, or 3 persons (unique in Amsterdam), cosy lobby, a bar, breakfast-room, a terrace to enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink and a lovely garden to relax, Amsterdam Vondelpark is 40 metres which is paradise for joggers and bikers. Hotel Groenhof is ideally located and easy to reach by public transport car or taxi. From Central station take tram number one. The hotel stop is one after Leidseplein (Overtoom - 1st C. Huygenstraat). Amsterdam Schiphol airport is 20 minutes and Amsterdam Central station 10 minutes by taxi.

We were pleasantly surprised by the standards of the rooms. they have walk in showers and very modern equipment with a large flat screen TV on the wall. The hotel staff are very helpful and make your stay in Amsterdam very enjoyable. We thought it was excellent value for money and well positioned to see the sights and to eat.

It's a simple hotel with a very good location, in the heart of Amsterdam. But the service is poor. There is only one towel per person in each room. Despite the lift, there are a lot of stairs to overcome. Some rooms are located in the basement floor and the only things that you can see through the small windows are the wheels of the cars parked on street.

We arrived very early, about 9:30am after a long flight from Kuala Lumpur, and were allowed to our room straight away. Normally we would have to wait till 2pm. It was so kind of the reception staff to do so. A hot shower was there to wake us up to enjoy a very cold but always exciting day in Amsterdam. The hotel is close to the Museum Plein, with all the famous museums and close to the tram which takes you to all other attractions of Amsterdam. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to their advice we had a very nice evening in the nearby Bar Helmer. Local meeting point. We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel and will be back again.

Very kind staff. Good service. An old building with a little nice garden, but not more than medium confort in the rooms. Good location, 5 minutes of walk to leiden square, shopping facilities in the neigborhood.
