"good value for money to just stay over night and goto kinabalu park the next morning. a bit far away from the city center, however there are frequent public mini bus (van actually, No 15, cost ~RM0.50) service at the back of the lodge. goto the main road infront of the lodge take mini bus No13 (RM0.50), you can (alight at the bus stop after Shell petrol station) reach the long distance bus station to get another bus to the kinabalu park (RM12 one way, depart when on full load). you can ask for free transfer from the airport, subject to availability, arrange in advance. keep the lodge's phone number, call them in airport to remind them. the lodge is clean, but there are no rooms with attach bathroom. the water pressure at ground floor is too low for a proper shower. the staffs are friendly and informative " - JU YUEN LOO

"What made this place outstanding was the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff - the staff were absolute stars! A very clean, basic facility with communal wet/kitchen areas and tv/internet service, situated slightly out of the city centre in the light industrial area. This was overcome with the backpackers free minibus service that seemed to run whenever you needed it, inc. airport pickup. " - Anonymous
