Borobudur Hotel Jakarta

The hotel may seem old but has charm. Its rooms are spacious and the hotel has a variety of restaurants.

Second time to stay in this hotel. Lovely gardens within the hotel compound with a jogging path and a spa. Good restaurants within the hotel too. Home to Jakarta's famous ox-tail soup. Stepping out of the hotel premises can be quite chaotic with vehicular traffic swooshing by. I don't think there were restos within walking distance.

As I have been travelling to Asian countries very extensively, I have never came across Security Personell so rude and crude when handling guest. I hope the hotel don't practise color differences. I will never recommend this hotel especially to my Asian friends.

Nice hotel, convenient location (for airport especially), but choatic and time-consuming check-in - they had no record of my booking, and this is the second time that has happened. Obviously a problem that needs to be resolved.

A great place to stay and relax. The hotel compound is spacious and enjoyable, swimming, gardens etc. Outside the compound, the surrounding environment is not so pleasant. Taxis needed to get anywhere. The breakfast is excellent. Only problem was a stressful early checkout and rush to get a taxi to the airport before the traffic became impossible. There was only one staff on duty, insufficient to attend to a long line of people, and one had billing problems disclaiming some items not authentically signed so that delayed everyone. Just bad luck.

Cheap rooms are available but they are older and not well maintained. I suggest going to a Superior room for best value.

very good hotel. Location to enable walk to other restaurants or bars not possible. Hotel staff excellent and very flexible with booking change with late notice.

very good central hotel close to tourist attractions would recommend. room need ed touch-up paintjob in places but very roomy and comfortable for the price. Excellent pool, dining and facilities

30 minutes from International airport during afternoon traffic, 20 minute early morning. Served breakfast at 4:00am. Excellent security. Good value for money.

Rooms are a little old and without an ironing board or iron, but hotel was great in most other respects. Would be nice if they provided free WIFI in the rooms rather than charging by the hour. Room service food was great and breakfast was pretty good also.

This is a very pleasant hotel is the heart of historical upper Jakarta. If you are trying to escape the average Hyatt, Marriot, or other Western chain hotel, but still want all facilities, this hotel would be a very good choice.

This Hotel was in a perfect location. It is quite a large facility with beautiful grounds and plenty to entertain the guest. It is starting to get old and some of the carpets and room fixtures show their age but the service and staff professionalisim are all first class. My only complaint was that they charge absurd fees for internet access, somthing their competition has learned not to do a long time ago. If you are a business traveler, you might do better at another hotel.

While the rooms are a little worn, the hotel is an oasis in this crazy city. It is a great location for tourist sites in the north of Jakarta but not so great for restaurants. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We stayed during Lebaran which was very busy with lots of families.

rate is reasonable and facilities is excellent

All staff were courteous and offered assistance. Changes need to be made to hotel taxi services. That is, hotel's taxis are four times more expensive than other public taxis. Whilst the convenience factor is a consideration, it appears that this service is over-priced.

We had a comfortable stay in Borobudur Hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Concierge was very helpful. The jogging path and the spa are an added bonus. The 24-hour cafe proved convenient although pricey but the buffet was good nonetheless. We actually booked Borobudur again for our trip to Jakarta this April.

The hotel clearly has the potential of being a top hotel and it clearly has been. However, it is not very well maintained. Despite its flaws, it was very nice staying there. It has a nice atmosphere. The food was good too.

Rated only 4 star on your website. It is a 5 star hotel, and always has been one of the best hotels in Indonesia, even when i lived there from 1991 to 1993
