Bougainvillier Hotel Phnom Penh

"Stayed for five nights during the water festival, River suite room with a balcony, Rooms 109A and 209A are huge with queen size canopy bed in the bedroom and day bed, coffee table, desk in the lounge room (sofa bed would have been ideal) TVs in both bedroom and lounge. Very quite considering the amount of people outside the hotel during the festival the street was closed and they partied until the early hours and I didn't hear a peep. Short stroll to FCC, cafes and restaurants everywhere. Great Khmer food at Titanic all tourist cafes are expensive compared to local type, but cheap compared to Australia, I would recommend the River suites at the Bougainvillier and can confirm around 3 stars, I have stayed in much more expensive hotels and got a whole lot less. The only down side is no pool, however AC worked well." - Anonymous

"Great looking hotel within walking-distance of most of Phnom Penh's tourist destinations (the palace, musuems, night-life, etc.). Great decor and friendly, helpful staff; the restaurant is really good too. Lots of stairs if you're on the upper floor, but you need the exercise. You could go cheaper in Phnom Penh, but this place looks great. Now if they only had a swimming pool..." - Craig Mazure
