Friendly welcome room was a very dated but clean no microwave or iron in room but available down the hall, great location so overall good value

Really good value money. Facilities were well kept and staff always helpful.
Motel is old -needs refurbishing - stale linen and musty smells in unit. noisy plumbing. Extremely overpriced for the standards, compared with other establishments in the area
We were there for 2 days - 1 night but it was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay there again in the future.
Older budget type motel. Good value for money if this is important to you
I was very happy with my short stay,at very late notice. If ever in New Plymouth again, I would have no hesitation in staying there.
On main road one way street system, so lots of traffic noise. New curtains installed, but didn't fit properly. Wi-fi access only worked intermittently and TV remote needed new batteries. However, price was excellent and was clean and tidy.
TV's are tiny. Room clean and good location, very dated though.
You get what you pay for. The phone mannerisms leave a lot to be desired, they promote the fact they are a 3 star operation so :Dont expect to much" is the feeling Not for me again
The welcome from the receptionist was excellent. Set the tone for stay. Helpful with the two requests I made.
We enjoyed our time at the Braemar. The Motel is approx. 10 mins. walk to the City Centre, which we found very convenient and the rooms were serviced every day with clean towels, etc., not something that all Motels do. The only downside, was that the Restaurant was closed for Christmas/New Year and that there was some traffic noise, but this was not overly disruptive. We would certainly stay there again.
I think there should be a microwave oven in the rooms as apart from the stove top there is nothing to cook with. The only other problem was the shower water was either too hot or too cold, nothing in between.
