BreakFree Alexandra Beach Sunshine Coast

It is a beautifully laid out resort in a great location - right across the road from the beach! The decor is a little bit tired and the rooms could do with a bit of a spring clean, but otherwise it had everything we needed to have a great family holiday. The only real downfall was that the spa pool was not really heated.... about the temperature of a warm swimming pool so not hot enough for winter. It's a shame cos we would have been in there otherwise! Can't wait to come back here and see that beautiful pool in summer!

Breakfree Alexandra Beach is a perfect place to stay if you want an easy carefree holiday. It's located just across the road from the beach and has great facilities. The room I stayed in was a one bed apartment and it really was very comfortable and clean. On the morning I arrived, I was a bit early for check in. (12 o clock) The girl at the desk took my mobile number and said she would call me if my room was ready before 2. She didn't call, but when I went back at 1.40 it was ready, she just hadn't bothered to call. That was my only problem over the whole stay. To be honest, the other staff members were lovely and courtious. I would still definitely recommend this accommodation to others and will definitely be back.

lovely grounds & pools. 2 spas, southern one being in dire need of cleaning. Rooms comfortable but on small side for price. No coffee/tea plunger. We did have an enjoyable stay.

Had some confusion about room locations and bed configurations, had to upgrade to get rooms closer together. So communication was lost once bookings were made. We would stay there again but would have these problems sorted before we arrive next time.

The hotel had a lovely pool area, however our room was not very nice or clean for that matter.

Good location, right opposite Alex Beach. We had problems with faulty room key cards so couldn't get access to our room three times. We had to go to reception or call after hours for assitance which we weren't impressed with.

I found the accommodation very good. Was a little bit expensive though I thought. Also I had to ask for extra sheets and towel for extra person which I had booked and paid for.

Had a lovely stay here. Resort is lovely, set out nicely with the pools surrounding the units. Kids had a great time in the pool with the waterslide. Units were nice enough. Would definately stay again as the atmosphere is nice.

We had a nice stay here although we only stayed one night it was in a very nice location and the cleanliness was very good. The pool were lovely just a little bit cold for a swim.

Lovely pool and surroundings. Apartment good but tired. Resort rules around pools / alcohol / food in spa etc should have made it a pleasure for all guests. However several times both during the day and after hours these rules where ignored spoiling the holiday. Better supervision by management of the pools needed. Also beware large groups!!!

everything about this property is amazing - it was clean, fantastic location and you could not beat the fantastic pool designed around the apartments, people staying on the ground floor literally walked two steps and the pool was all around you - would certainly return luxury and the price very reasonable.

Excellent location, close to everything. Staff are very friendly. Enjoyed the stay. Recommend an apartment with a view of resort, beach or both.

We had an enjoyable stay at breakfree resort. It is very competitively priced and has a fabulous lagoon style pool for kids. We were going to go to Underwater World which our son has wanted to do for sometime but he didn't want to go once he spotted the swimming pool. We would stay there again.

I have always wanted to stay at this resort, but as my parents live up the hill it was never feasable. However, with my parents having a full house last weekend, my dream was finally realised. Perfect location; awesome swimming pool (my kids didn't even want to get out to visit their grandparents); excellent accommodation with comfortable beds and great facilities; simply perfect all around. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Our only complaint was the key system for the rooms and car park was frustrating, we wouldn't stay again for that reason

The pool was magnificent, fantast child friendly resort, opposite the beach & the surf club - the club was fantastic, excellent service & beautiful meals. Had a great time.

The shower is over the bath and very dangerous and slippery without a rubber mat--one of our guests did slip in the bath. No clock radio in the bedrooms. Also only one towel per guest per stay. Apart from these things all else was available for a comfortable holiday.

Very friendly staff, clean room. Of the hotels we saw in the area, we think that this is the nicest. Most of the rooms are back from the road and separated from it by both a pool and trees. The grounds are landscaped and the pool is wonderful as it skirts around the front of rooms, providing a 150m winding length to explore. We recommend the Alexandra Beach resort.
