A real pleasure to stay at the Britania. It has style and the interior is beautiful. Lot of attention to detail in the rooms to stay within the same style. Staff are very helpful. If I go back to Lisbon, I'd go to Britania or another heritage hotel.
I can only recommend this hotel for very good location (very quiet street just off the main avenue, close to Chiado, Bairro Alto and Rossio), stylish 1940s' flair, incredibly nice staff and spotless cleanliness. Rooms are very large, there is free wireless internet access from the rooms, and a bottle of port wine awaits you when you chill out after a day of sightseeing/shopping etc...

Excellent Hotel. Fantastic reception staff - extremely helpful. And good location too...only 2 mins walk from the Avenida Metro station, 10 minutes walk from city centre... Highly recommended.......

This is a very nice Art Deco hotel well positioned in Lisbon. The rooms are generous and quite charming. The staff are all very pleasant & helpful. Definitely recommended. October 2007
While I appreciated the unique quality of the hotel and enjoyed the aesthetic, I'm not sure it warranted the price.
The Britania is well placed - in a quiet street yet near bus and metro stations. Staff most helpful. Rooms large , comfy and nicely fitted out.

We had a lovely stay at the Britania. And will definitely return. The service was very friendly and it was perfectly located for exploring the city. We completed their questionnaire and actually got a reply from them on our return home. Unheard of! Would not hesitate in recommending it to those who prefer a boutique hotel offering personal service.
The hotel staff was excellent, helpful and very friendly. The room was good sized, and they treated us very well. The location was also ideal, within walking distance of downtown Lisbon. I would highly recommend this hotel, and think the service was top notch.
An excellent hotel that I have already recommended to my friends and will certainly return to. The staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of fresh foods and the cleanliness of the rooms and public facilities was second to none!
