Britannia Coventry Hill Hotel

Old and in need of a lot of updating, good location and prices very reasonably.

Very good hotel for the price you get when booking early. When checking in you can upgrade from 'room only' to 'bed and breakfast' for £5/person/night which seemed to us good value. The room had two single beds, a desk, two chairs, round table, kettle, hair dryer, closet, trouser press, bath tub/shower. The curtains darken the room efficiently - no problem sleeping. The rooms not facing the motorway are very silent. Several bus groups of elderly travellers stayed in the hotel. There will be some queues in the reception desk, bar and breakfast if you happen to be there at the same time the groups are. Free wifi in the lounge. Free parking in the yard.

Excellent hotel and great value for money.

The equipment in the rooms ie tv, hair dryer,kettle,light switches, shower curtains etc are so out of date. I cant remember the last time i had seen a television like that any where, these days you can get flat screen tvs for next to nothing. please do something. I come from a third world country but you will not find such facilities in a three star hotel, its all so much better and this is a first world country.

The experience was only let down for me by the fact that the room was cold as the radiator didn't work.

The comfort of the bed was excellent.
