A little bit worn at the edges, but no complaints about the room facilities, the comfort of the bed, cleanliness or staff. All are great. In fact only thing that is frustrating are the two lifts -very slow and often only one working, causing long waits. But GREAT location for the railway station and central shopping area, and very good value for money.
Very good value for money for a hotel which is right in the centre of the city and only a couple of minutes walk from New Street train station. I did not have any meals at the hotel but there are plenty of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Also very handy for department stores and shops.
Good showers (plenty of hot water, and great water pressure), great location, good staff. The room was a bit dark, even in the daytime (a standing lamp in the corner would have helped) but other than that it's a great place to stay. Does what it says on the tin.
Great staff, great location. Good showers with hot water and good water pressure. Good breakfast (but last time it was included in the price, this time we had to pay extra). Lifts didn't work, was a bit more expensive this time than the last time we stayed. but all in all would stay there again
A good hotel in the centre of the city, its old but ok,breakfast was nice, overall a good budget hotel
good price for value, perfect location, nice and enjoyable breakfest.central position, near bullring and rail stations.third time there and still perfect for me.take a chance and go there!!!
hotel was very central and clean , however the food was awfull, the staff very unhelpfull and the hotel seemed to attract a very rowdy crowd. (no sleep due to noise and people running around all night).
Just for a room, this works. Do not expect anything else..
An average hotel in a good location. Ok for overnight stay. Not luxury but clean with adequate bathroom. Noisy guests. Could use more TV channels.
really good value for money if you want a hotel right in the city centre and by the train station. you're paying for location though, dont expect anything too glam. totally fits the purpose though :O)
menu for room service not accurate when ordering food the waiter did not bring back our change toiletries not systematically left in the room room not cleaned one day
I had a event to attend and needed a stop over. The hotel is in the very centre ver convienient for the night out. I had a top floor room great view, room was fine I had a double single occupancy and it suited me. Might have been a bit small for a couple. Bathroom was fine if a little dated as was rest of hotel. Needs a spruce up but was good for the price. I stayed room only as lots of places to eat at half the 11.oo breakfast charge! I would stay again but it is definately 3 rather than four star
its right in the city centre so your beside everywhere
Made the mistake of booking a room on a smoking floor -which I didnt know existed any more and didnt realise until the second night. Very stale samell and run down the lifts were very very slow and the reception staff made mistakes and when challenged -didnt seem bothered. rooms have round pin sockets so had to search for a socket to recharge my phone. The door into the hotel was very stiff to revolve and saw several elderlt people struggle with it Felt grubby.
Nice hotel in the center of the city. Near New Streeet railway station. Good choice.
Great Location for the station and central Birmingham. Rooms are ok but both they and the hotel itself have seen better days. Beds are a bit too soft and the bathrooms a little "quaint" but if you can get a good deal on the price it is an excellent base to have for any visit to Birmingham
The hotel is located in the centre of the city, next to the central train station and a lot of bus stops, shops, banks, bars and restaurants and a lot of places of interest. Not a very good impression regarding lifts to the rooms and not clean-fresh air in the hotel atmosphere. Very noisy cleaning staff, especially early morning hours.
breakfast is too expensive
Nice spacious room, clean and tidy. Well rated for a short stay in Birmingham. Very central located across the road from the train station and very close to bars & restaurants
Kitschy decor from the 80s all looking very tired and dated amply compensated for by the friendly helpful staff, good breakfast and central location. Room was spacious and clean and excellent value for the money
