Britannia Hotel Manchester Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

The room was clean but small like most London Hotels. The room had no windows but only a skylight vent that opened at the pull of a string. this saved us to some degree because even with the radiator turned off the room became so hot during the night we needed to open it. the bed was worn and saggy in the middle. TV only had like 4 stations. Location was good for sightseeing. Probably would not stay here again.

Centrally located in the city centre. Near Arndale shopping centre and the main shopping area. Also walking distance to Shudehill bus station. Comfortable rooms with free wi-fi.

Nice location but the lift need refurbishment and additional one to better serve guests because just two lifts are not sufficient to effectively serve the guests.

As a regular visitor to Manchester, this was my first time staying in the Britannia. I was quite apprehensive about it due to some reviews on here. But from the minute I checked in early to when I left, it all went very well. Room was a litte dated, but other than that my stay was perfect. I had a room at the back, it was incredibly quiet and the location really is unrivalled.

After reading previous reviews I was nervous about my stay but after arriving and having a smooth quick check in and seeing that our room was clean and comfortable I relaxed about it and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a Brilliant location, close to shops and bars. Yes the rooms are a little dated and could do with decorating but were very clean. Overall a great weekend.

The main reception area is beautiful and the hotel is in a good central location. Our room was small, looked tired and needs some updating especially the bathroom.

Booked single room for one night (room only) and for the price, I can't complain. Room was small but as I only wanted a bed for the night it suited me perfectly. As a one-off I would definately recommend, but if looking for more luxury then look elsewhere. Location is perfect for anything in Manchester.

location is brilliant but can be noisy depending on the room your allocated, but done the job for me while i was in manchester. if your not too fussy then this is a hotel for you as some rooms are a bit dated, wand walls a bit too thin, but nice hotel

The staff were friendly enough, and the building is really nice but i just couldnt find anything to justify paying £115 for ONE night in a single room with no breakfast and no view from the window, i didnt seem to get anything for that other than a bed for the night, i know you get the usual tea and coffee making facilities and television, but i got NOTHING that was worth paying £115 for one night. The price was quite simply extortionate. There is no way i would stay there for that amount again.

Hotel was a great choice for access to all our needs. shopping, football match, resturants, and atmosphere. Hotel itself met our needs on all of the above. A bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the room felt so small with the high windows, with windows open it was very noisey with construction going on all night on the streets. Other than that would go back there again but not the same room.
