"Not overly impressed. The bed was not very comfortable and the whole room (although clean) looked tired and slightly mucky with stains on the carpet and sofa. It was also quite dark and not all of the lights worked, plus it was hot and the air conditioning did not work. Service was ok and location is excellent, however you find that you have to pay for parking (£9.50) for 24 hour." - Anonymous
"Twenty years ago this would have been an excellent hotel. Unfortunately the bedrooms and facilities don't seem to have changed in those 20 years. The television was poor and the shower facilities even worse.
Location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk from the City Centre and Railway Station." - Warren Allsworth
"The room had no chair on which to sit. There was a desk, but no chair. Also, while the room had a 'trousers press' there was no iron or ironing board available." - Anonymous
"Very central hotel, free bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. Had booked a single room but they had run out so was upgraded to an executive double - still pretty small though and very thin duvet - but they were happy to give me a second. They let me keep my bicycle in the room which surprised me - good for keeping the bike secure but probably added to the many scuff marks already on the walls!" - Anonymous
