IT being right next to the railway station is good, there no problem getting even a taxi, there being so many of them packed up. You not far from the shops even, althrough it just ten minutes to bus station, where all the buses go to. Tickets are expence I find. Breakfast was ok cannot complain at all, didn't have dinner because I am watching my weight. Becarefu of the hot water it get's really hot indeed, since I burned myself on the hot tap after I turned off the water. Quite happy with my two days.
great location,atmosphere,service.
Very pleasant, traditional hotel with alot of character, located in the centre of town overlooking a large plaza. Some of the decor is outdated and the bedroom could have done with a more thorough dusting. The breakfast was expensive at £12.99 per person. However we did enjoy our stay.
Excellent Hotel enjoyed my stay, Just one small moan waste bin had not been emptied from previous guest, No problem though will use again.
I was given a side room, which was very hot and needed to have the windows open, which resulted in a lot of noise throughout the night from trains. All the staff I came into contact with were very polite and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The location - a few yards from the station - is excellent. For those interested in sport - and Rugby League in particular - it is the historic birthplace of the game and has an excellent museum in the basement.
Dirty dishes were not cleaned away from tables that were finished during breakfast. Superb location. Helpful staff. Good sized rooms. Lovely victorian hotel.
Very welcoming upon check in and checking out. Excellent location beside train station. Clean and warm. Traditional hotel.
The room was a bit hot, even with radiators off, had to leave windows open all night, the noise from the street kept awaking me up but other than that it was a pleasant stay.
