Broome-Time Lodge

We had a fabulous stay at the Ocean Lodge; the staff very helpful, the location was great.

Very nice place. Rooms are clean and very well equipped. Shopping Centre is just around the corner and it is right in the middle between Cable Beach and Town Centre.

I totally recommend this place and would definetaly book with them again, all very friendly and helpful

We arrived late and the night manager could not have been more helpful, even helping us carry our luggage to our room. Our only quibbles were: 1. Car parking is insecure and a long way from the room (a major when you are travelling a long way and have lots of cases and boxes). 2. A few inconsiderate guests party late and the noise echoes since all rooms are set around the central pool/grassed area. However, overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay and I would recommend it.

Friendly staff and nice self contained rooms. The hotel has a very nice garden with pool and barbecues. Unfortunately it is located a bit far from the center of town and the beach at Cable beach. It is just in the middle of both, but if you have a car it is a good choice to stay here.

As our flight didn't leave till 8pm we were allowed to stay in our room till 2pm which gave us a more leisurely end to our holiday. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On our next trip to broome we would most definately stay at the Oceanlodge even though it is no where near the ocean.

The floor had such an excess of floor cleaner residue that it was necessary to wear shoes indside - but apart from that, good - perhaps just stale air? I would stay there again though.

A small motel-like place. Friendly reception staff, owner operated???, but very poor location. Not at all close to the beach and very barren. I wouldn't go back.

If I was to stay in Broome again I would return. The hotel is supurbly located. It is about 12mins walk from a small shopping centre (Safeway etc.. in it) In the heat the walk does seem far but it is doable. The bus stop ($3 per trip) is right out the front. The pool area is quite pretty. The hotel is located halfway between cable beach and broome township. 2.5km each way. I had second thoughts when I arrived but after visiting the cable beach resort and experiencing the cold lavishness of that place for dinner it was welcomed to return to Ocean Lodge. Reception has a few groceries (including BBQ packs for the hotel's BBQs) The room was clean and serviced well if you hinted you wanted it done (towels on the floor etc..) The rooms were older but nothing differnt to any small Australian town. My room had an Ironing board - usually unheard of in a budget hotel. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean. Good facilities, iron, fridge, mini grills. Pool area ok. More of a motel than a hotel and some of the rooms seemed to have permanent residents with dogs, budgies, and cats. Had requested a no smoking room but first room offered smelt like an ashtray but was moved to another room instantly. There are better hotels in the area. Overall would recommend if you were looking for something cheap & clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at [this lodge]. I was a first time visitor to Broome and found the Lodge very good. A very good pool facility and the staff at Reception were really friendly and helpful. The Lodge was nicely situated between Cable Beach and Town Beach. There is a bus service outside the entrance which I am sure would be quite good but we decided to hire a car. It was also good to have cooking facilities in the room. I would definitely stay at [this lodge] again if I am in Broome.

The Ocean Lodge is a family oriented hotel. The rooms have kitchens, seperate bedroom and eating area. The rooms were clean but not very modern. The facilities have a pool, laundry and a small store where you can purchase food supplies. There is an outdoor barbeque, where many families cooked their evening meal. The Broome bus stops in front of the hotel. There is a shopping center within walking distance, (15 min). This is definitely a budget hotel. The reception was friendly and helpful. This would be a good choice for a family on a budget.

No towels in room on arrival. A big step down from Cable Beach Resort but comfortable ,clean and well serviced. Biscuits should be available with tea and coffee facilities. Pool and recreational area are attractive with the electric barbecues a feature. It must be kept in mind that this motel is in Broome where accommodation is limited.

Perfect location for all the sights and activities.

We were very pleased that we could check in at 10 am and on our last day spend the whole day at the pool after check out. Anyway, the rooms are self-contained, so after your check out there is no possibility to get a coffee or lunch. There is a small shop. Centrally located means that you must take the bus or taxi any time you want to go to Cable Beach or town centre or to the nearest shopping centre. Broome is too big to walk the distances. The service was very friendly, we stored our luggage in the kitchen after check out

Very friendly staff. The Ocean Lodge represents very good value compared with other accommodation in Broome.
