Loved the place, has great atmosphere, which is relaxed and homely. The owner is friendly and good to converse with, he was very helpful and delighted us with this infinite knowledge of Dunedin. Great Stay!
Lovely charismatic old building with very helpful proprietors. An excellend B&B for when you want a change from the run of the mill hotels.
This is our smallest room type. They are however charming and quaint with a Queen bed and a tiled en suite. They have en suites and are centrally heated. There is all day free parking and the Hotel is only a 6 minute walk to the city centre, restaurants and bars.

Excellent in every way. Baron the dog and Molly the cat added to the warm atmosphere.
A lovely boutique hotel close to the centre of Dunedin. Great atmosphere with a wonderful host who was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay - close to town, very good facilities, friendly, helpful owner.
Great place to stay would recommend to friends. Friendly owner and service was great. Clean rooms and quiet. Great breakfast and price was perfect.
This Hotel is a little gem perched high on a hill overlooking Dunedin city. The owner/host is very friendly and accommodating, and the simple but comfortable rooms offer a good rest for the travellor. There is the added bonus of being able to relax in the lounge, dining room or expansive outdoor balconies, or to enjoy the garden. This little place will be somewhere I will return to... again and again.
This wonderful little hotel has loads of character. It's been refurbished tastefully and doesn't lose any of the charm of its former life. Magnificent position, walk to city centre, great views. Free use of laptop and welcoming drink add to the already pleasant atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. All facilities available, even if not in your room.
This is a delightful hotel, full of character, retaining the calm ambience of the Christian Brothers who lived there originally. We were warmly welcomed and our room had an amazing view looking over the city. There is a very comfortable sitting room and interesting dining room where we enjoyed a relaxed breakfast. The rooms have style and quality furnishings. To stay in the chapel room would be a very special experience. Highly recommended.
The welcome at this B&B was exceptional. The rooms were spacious and well presented and cared for. The breakfast was very good and had plenty of healthy options. The wlk down into Dunedin was quite steep for anyone with walking problems or the elderly but only 10 minutes to the Octagon for those like us able to stroll easily. I would certainly recommend the Brothers to anyone wanting B&B in Dunedin
What a wonderful surprise to find such a beautiful, classy, elegant "home" so close to the Octagon. The "very good" rating does not do this Boutique Hotel justice. We can highly recommend a stay here. Special place, special people, special service - we will most certainly stay there again. Hartmut & Elke Kiehn New Zealand/Australia/Germany
Recommended. Would readily return. Rather like a B and B. Convenient location, most interesting building.
Small rooms with no space to put clothes. Good friendly service. Location on a steep hill, good exercise after an evening meal!
We stayed for 1 night and although the room was on the small side everything was very clean with a modern bathroom. The host was extremely well informed and welcoming.Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room with a good choice of fresh produce. The hotel is located on a very steep hill...not a problem for us but it could be for others. lovely friendly hotel room on small side but good location
Room was very small. No electric blanket on the bed and I was very cold first night. Iron on a different floor not in the room. Minimal space to hang clothes. Staff very pleasant, eveythign very clean and lovely surrounds once you found the place. cereals & fruit exactly the same 3 days in a row. Hand basin is straight under a shelf making teeth cleaning a pain
The only constructive criticism I have is - for business travellers they should have a facility for printing documents. Everything else was perfect.
Awesome views, suited our needs for close to central accommodation in Dunedin. We would stay there again in future
A fantastic location having beautiful views out over Dunedin. The hotel's within walking distance to the city centre, great if you want to have a few beers! The rooms are simply yet very new and fresh with modern appliances. Free internet in the cosy sitting room. The manager's are great along with the concierge (the black four legged kind) and the free parking and complimentary breakfast are lovely and appreciated services. Definitely value for money!!
Friendly service. Rooms comfortable and compact
