Getting there:By plane: exit the airport and turn left. At the end of the terminal, there is a bus stop. Take bus 200 to the very end of the line to the Blue Metro station at Kobanya-Kispest. You will see an escalator going into the building. At the top of the escalator, walk halfway through the building and you will see the entrance to the Metro on the left. You can take any train that is there, since this is the beginning / end of the line. Get off at Kalvin ter. At the top of the escalator turn right and then right again. Find the exit showing Múzeum körút - 9 Kobanya Kispest fele - 112 Buda fele. From the top of the steps we are in 50m, next to the restaurant.

Only problem was when we arrived there was no one there in reception to meet us so we stood out in the cold unable to get past the locked wooden door untill someone arrived,and even then did not explane very well about the breakfast vouchers.but apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
Budapest Museum Central is great value for money. A small family owned hotel, where the staff is extremely helpful and rooms are really clean & nice looking. It was a new experience for us to get a breakfast coupong and have breakfast at a cafe nearby, but it turned out as a positive surprise as well. The only thing that we missed was a refrigerator in the room. We definately recommend this hotel and will use it ourselves when we go to Budapest for the next time.
Hotellin erillään sijaitsevaan huoneistoon asettuminen vaatii vähän enemmän kuin normaalin kirjautumisen. Henkilökunta opastaa ystävällisesti ja hoitaa/maksaa kuljetuksen hioneistoon taksilla. Lähtöpäivänä kävelimme sen muutaman satametrisen. Älkää peljästykö ulkokuorta ja porraskäytävää. Yksiö pikkukeittiöineen ja poreammeineen oli siisti ja kaikin puolin hintaan nähden ok. Kylmä aamiainen tuotiin joka aamu. Sitä voi mainiosti täydentää omlla eväillä - ihana kauppahalli on ihan lähellä ja sieltä saa vaikka mitä. Me viihdyimme. Nipottajille en ehkä suosittele.
A werry good hotel. the staf was very helpfull. But mabye there could be a better light in the coartyard.
If your only going to use a hotel as a base then this is the one. There are only 9 rooms, breakfast is delivered to your room and there is no lounge area. The rooms were large bright and airy
I come quite often to Budapest on my business trips. This time I stayed in Budapest Museum Central. As an architect and designer I pay attention to beauty of the building, to interior and design of the hotel. I may say that everything in the hotel is thoughtfully, every detail is on its place. The mixture of classic in the building and modern interior are worth of paying. I was impressed by the rooms that are large and have comfortable beds, air condition, internet and heated floors. Particularly my room had amazing view onto the National Museum. Cleaning is daily and perfect. Breakfast is served directly in the room every morning. I would highly recommend this hotel for business trips because it’s situated in the centre, close to everything and its staff is very friendly, fast and ready to assist you any hour.
