5th stay in 4 months...BZ will continue to be my home in Chengdu
Great location for shopping and eating to experience different culture. Difficult for first driver to locate and no vehicle entry to hotel door. Hotel staff exceptionally helpful. Hotel Restaurant was great. Sorry I missed breakfast the first morning with a 7.30am departure to the Chengdu Panda Centre. A lift and a disabled toilet on Ground floor would be a bonus(I had a serious ankle sprain - difficult with stairs).
Beautiful hotel, great location, quiet atmosphere, great service and beautiful food. We loved it!
This hotel is fantastic and the staff are lovely! In particular, the hotel driver was incredibly helpful and we will always remember him fondly. I had a large family group and the driver took such great care of us we were really impressed. We booked the suite rooms and they were huge and had some really nice touches. The location is fantastic and my family loved the whole experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for travellers wanting an authentic experience of China.
I'm normally too busy to write reviews, HOWEVER, BZ is a really peaceful hotel in a very busy city of 12M people. From the front door to the rooftop garden it oozes peace and tranquility...for akin to rural japan than my expectations of Chengdu. I stayed twice in a week. The second time I returned from three night work in Zigong and was exhausted from the driving...within minutes of getting into my room the beautiful sound of two guys playing erhus wafted into my room from the courtyards below. Very cool...very restful...highly recommended .
Well everybody has the same problem with this hotel.... "finding it", but once you're ensconsed therein it's easy to figure out. This is because it's like being in the middle of a maze of alleys. Likely the hotel could organise your taxi to them.... as they have a secret entrance, which doesn't relate to the given address, and your "Joe Bloggs Average Chengdu Taxi~Drive" simply doesn't know it. Fabulous place in all other regards. Full of character. A little noisier than some, but that doesn't usually bother me too much. If you're a light sleeper make that known to staff and I think they'd likely accommodate the situation by ensuring a quieter room. Take time to have a massage.... and to wander around the neighbourhood monastery.
This was the absolutely the sweetest hotel I have ever stayed at - anywhere. And this was in China, where, first of all you might not be 1/10th understood. The people who staff and manage this (forgive me) Heavenly place are beyond my personal ability to comprehend why they are so devoted to every single need or whim above and beyond the call of angels, let alone hotel staff personnel! They take their jobs to heart, literally. I am absolutely, and mind you, 100 percent seriously awed by this young staff of beautifully caring people. I am not exaggerating. If you died and there is really a heaven, it would be an imitation of my experience at Buddha Zen Chengdu. Go there. Unbelievably sweet.
Very friendly and efficient staff. A last min change of plan and called them while i was in China. Straight away they know who's calling and immediately reserve a room for me. Very good feeling while staying though. Only bad thing is you might not have a good sleep if you are in a courtyard facing room and the walls seem kinda thin, i can hear people talking/walking/banging doors on and off throughout the night.
Room was lovely, although work that was going on in the laneway and noise that came from the laneway at night, made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast selection was very small and average and evening menu was also limited. Staff were very friendly and eager to help us whenever we asked a question. Internet WiFi was not very strong in the room and often had to go out onto verandah to get a connection.
Got a room upgrade to the deluxe suite on my second stay here, very impressive room.
Loved the service, very welcoming staff and great reflexology massages after a day of walking. Highly recommend it to travellers who want something a bit out of the ordinary!
located in special area for turist, u can enjoy day , night is not so convienient,
