This motel is very, very homey. A great mom and pop set up that really take pride in their motel. This motel even stocks their rooms with everything needed for cooking and staying a while. This was the best set up of all the motels we stayed in New Zealand.
Slightly dated appearance. River location but no river views due to trees. Walking into the town involves crossing railway and passing industrial sites . Free wireless internet but must have own laptop. The town of Westport is lifeless and rather drab with few restaurants.
Our studio unit was very clean and well presented with a restful interior decor in a quiet garden setting. Wireless internet service was also avalaible in the unit.
Is an older style motel - but the owners are very friendly and the premises were clean.
