a nice and clean hotel with quite nice rooms. The staff is very friendly. A very good value for your money.

The place is not really too far from the center, its a good 10 minute walk. The front desk clerk were helpful and courteous, though room given to us is far from the pool. We availed of the hotels room service massage and it was so good that we had a goodnight sleep. Very polite and courteous attendants. Wish to come back soon.

Enviroment, Room, Bathroom & Service is very good and its location is at the central of Aonang. From Hotel to Emerald Pool, Hot Spring & Elephant/Jungle Trekking is all within 30km by car. Not far and its easy to find. As for Hotel Service which for Island Tour Trip is not that recommended, hotel charge is a little it more expensive. You can make a walk to survey other Island tour Agency about prices. Massage Service is more cheaper at outside but not too much differents, still acceptable. Overall about BURI TARA RESORT is GOOD. Recommended to stay! Overall is a good hotel...Enjoy

The staff were rally friendly. Other reviews had said that breakfast was average, but they must have improved on it cos our breakfast was great! The hotel isnt right on Ao Nang beach but its such a short walk, couldnt complain at all. And two for one cocktails at happy hour is awesome!

Despite reading some old poor reviews of this hotel, I decided that the price vs. facilities offered good value for money. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean, the bathroom large and well equipped and the pool was clean and quiet. The restaurant served an excellent selection at reasonable prices and there was an on-site massage facility. The hotel also provided an in-room unlimited internet connection for just 500 baht for the whole week. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, so I ended up spending more time than planned in the room - the choice of English language TV channels was limited and there was no DVD player. Also, the hotel is located midway between the two main beach areas - it was a ten minute walk to the main strip of bars and restaurants, although there were always cheap tuk tuks on the street. Overall I thoroughly recommend this hotel, especially if you don't mind taking a stroll before or after dinner.

My stay - 4th Nov to 8th Nov. Good:- (1) Within 10min walk to seaside where there is lots of eateries and travel co. for island tours. (2) Hotel pool ok and daily breakfast average. (3) Hotel staffs are friendly and room svs prompt. Not so good:- (1) Room is not so clean. (2) Bed sheet and towels ok.

Good stay for us. but small room

For those who likes to swim, the pool is quite small. Not much of facilities and no wifi access. The breakfast is not really fantastic and my friend had a small cockaroach in her chicken soup! Overall, this resort is good. Given just walking distant to the beach and nearby shops, the location is not bad. A peaceful place. The room is clean and their staff are friendly and really helpful!

Easy walk into the main Ao Nang resort area. I would highly recommend Buri Tara for it's spacious, modern rooms & friendly staff. The whole place was spotlessly clean & the pool area nice & quiet (though we went in low season). From here we went to [other hotel] on Phi Phi, where we paid 4 times the price for a room of a much lower standard. Excellant value through [website], would definitely stay here again.

Of the front end staff only one girl could speak broken English so if she was not on duty or on days off, getting through the day to day basics can be a struggle. There is a great restaurant out the back and the girls speak good English there so if need be you can deal with them or you just need to self manage. BE Mindful, all the rooms are of the same size and interior layout. The only difference between standard rooms, Superior and deluxe rooms is the side of the building your main window faces out from so it is cheaper to have a standard room. The Hotel has a great pool and nice deck chair area by the restaurant. There is currently construction work going on during the day so staff are directing patrons to use the pool at the Aree Tara resort in the same Soi. Aree And Buri are part of the Tara Hotel group. Overall the Buri Tara is a nice place to stay at a reasonable price, i would have no hesitation Recommending this Hotel.

The room was good and clean. Room rate was a good bargain during my stay. Breakfast was average for a 3stars hotel. Location about 200-300 meters to Ao nang beach. The front desk service was fine. Dine in the hotel a bit over priced if compare to food presentation/quality that they served.

excellent hotel. close to both beaches with friendly staff. great buffet breakfast. but better value dinner along the beach front. try the "big fish restaurant" 3 minutes walk form hotel. rate it as a 4/5.

Is a good hotel with the pricing. the only issue is construction beside the hotel.Staff is very friendly and helpfull. will come back again once the construction next door completed.

I had made reservation there using an internet site. From the pictures it looked really good. However when I got there (9PM) to check in on 13th August, there was a significant amount of surrounding noise from hotels or resorts being built all around the Buri Tara. Power saws, hammering .... etc ... From the looks of things, these surroundnig buildings still have 2 or 3 months of work in them. Nice courteous staff and clean environment ... However not quiet!

The hotel is relatively new, however the lamps in the lobby was covered with cob web. Rooms wise, the bed is hard and we found ants crawling on one of the bed. We were not sure if it was coincident as it happened for 2 days - we placed the "make up room" tag when we left for the beach, and found it as "Do not Disturb" when we returned and the room was not make up at all. We need to call and remind them to do housekeeping. The wireless reception was not good and cannot be compared with the Resort next door. The pool area is an ambient place for relaxation and sunbath and the massage there was enjoyable though the price was slightly more expensive.
