During January/February it take place the famous Viareggio carnival, that every year enjoy everybody with its colors, music, lights and happiness, all along the promenade.

Getting there:
Highway A12 Genova-livorno, exit VIAREGGIO; after paying Your toll, follow direction VIAREGGIO NORD and exit VIAREGGIO NORD-Q.re MARCO POLO. At stop sign, turn right in Via Marco Polo and always go straight on till the 3rd traffic light: here turn left on the promenade. Always continue straight on until the 2nd traffic light (You will see a big square called PIAZZA MAZZINI): turn left in Via Mazzini and always go straight on until the 7th crossroad - here turn right in VIA VENETO. Continue straight on until the 7th crossroad with Via Cavallotti: we are on Your left hand side at nr. 98
