Hotel is five minutes walk from city center which is very important. The car is no use in the center as it is forbiden. They charge some 20Euro for parking, so have it in mind. Breakfast is only until 9:30 so i had no chance to try it to tell you if it is good or not. There is free WiFi with pass from reception. I would recomend anyone to try a more expensive one, as it is very old and you have the filling it is not clean enough. I whould not go back there.
Great Location and Friendly Staff! Would recommend for a short stay especially if its for going to the outlets!
Good value hotel in central location. Spacious family room for four. Adequate continental breakfast. Off-street parking available for extra charge, but driving in to hotel was challenging with roadworks and downtown traffic, and tight entrance to carpark for large cars.
A old hotel. I have seen other quaint and flavoured 3 stars hotel with better refurbishments. However, it has a nice comfortable lounge and free internet facilities for guest.
Breakfast was a little spartan but it's prime location 5 minutes from the center of Florence made up for this. Let's face it, there plenty of good places to eat there.
Our first night in this hotel the air conditioner did not work. The second night we were moved to another room with working air conditioner. The lobby of this hotel is somewhat shabby. The service was very good and the room was always clean.
free internet a bonus
Good location, spacious room, good service
Extremely well located near the train station allowing a two minute walk with cases. This also makes ongoing forward trips easier to time. All points of interest within the City are easy walking and we had no need for a taxi.
Good hotel in a good location. I agree with other comments that the breakfast could be a lot better and replenished more often. The shower nozzle was poor and allowed only a trickle of water. We got a kettle, but no cord to plug it in! It was very hot when we were there - we had an air conditioner, but it was seemingly time set (and unable to be unset) to keep switching off. However, staff were good, I thought, and responded to requests.
This was basic but close to the station, which is what I required
Good price for a very good location
An older hotel that met our requirements adequately. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Our room was a deluxe room, not standard. Perkins
Good location close to the station. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Location is good, if you are arriving by train, as it is close to the train station. Not sure of the regular prices...we grabbed a last minute price online for a superior room. Not sure what the regular rooms looked like. Nothing fancy, but very spacious. My only problem was...there seemed to be a tour group, of teenage boys, staying at the hotel at the time. It appeared that they ate all of the food at the breakfast bar everyday, and it never seemed to be replenished while they were in the breakfast room. I can understand that the hotel staff may have had to stop bringing food, as they would probably just keep eating. But the staff could have acknowledged this and possibly brought us a small plate of food. One day the only thing to eat was juice, fruit and Chocolate cake! All in all, no problems, but would probably stay somewhere else next time as we only picked this hotel because of the last minute deal because a change in our travel plans required us to be in Florence 2 days early.
This hotel is very close to the SMNovella train station , but this is also close to the city centre (5minute walk). The hotel is great if you are looking for somewhere convenient to stay, and are not too concerned about first impressions!the room was spacious but basic, but was cleaned each day, basic continental breakfast.
The Byron Hotel was great. It was close to the Metro but also handy to to the main city city. The rooms were spacious (the biggest we found anywhere) and the bathroom was also roomy.
Not the cleanest of hotels but bed linen was clean. Very close to main railway station which is good.
Good clean hotel. People very friendly. Hired bikes near the train station and rode around Florence for 5 hrs.
charming rooms and clean enough. the hotel itself is somewhat shabby but nothing scary. well located near the train station. very quiet if you get a room at the back. staff somewhat grumpy and surley. b'fast very basic.
