Breakfast is cheap, in many cases you have to remind the service of missing items (coffee, bread, salt, spoon, plates etc. etc.). Most of the rooms facing directly to a construction site. This noisy situation will surely last for another year or more. Location is pretty far from Milan City Center.
Nice restaurant and garden with big fish. Generally nice place, a litle far out but not too bad close to genova canal with many waterside restaurants.
The continental breakfast was a buffet - a good surprice - when you expect a very simple plate (that is what we are used to in Italy)
The hotel is located right next to the trolley line. We were able to safely park our car in the hotel's parking lot and take a trolley into town. There are very few restaurants in the area but we were pleased with the hotel's restaurant where the food and service was very good.
In a quiet location next to the canal but travel to the central parts of Milan is easy on the efficient tram and metro network. The two members of reception staff I met were both friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a very large bed. The hotel is set around a courtyard with a pond, shrubs and some works of sculpture. This is quite tasteful. However, the views looking out from the hotel are fairly dull with some building work nearby (March 2008). It is a shame there are no boats on the canal to brighten up the area. Although, as I have said, the area is quiet, there are a few restaurant/bars some of which have live entertainment and dancing. The hotel has a reataurant and a cafe on site.
The room would need a painting. Coffee bar would be nice to have open on sunday nights.
This hotel is a bit out of the city centre but the transportation is very good, simply take the tram number 2 (which the stop is very close) and 10 minutes and you're there. Breakfast was good, the staff can speak fluent English, French and Italian (I do not know if they speak more...)and there is a small garden at the back, very relaxing. But I think the rooms near it costs more. The standard rooms where we were, were very clean and had everything in it. The only thing is if you book a standard room you will be situated near the road, it's not noisy at all but it's just that feeling isn't it?
I put location as GOOD because although it is out of the centre, they have secure and free car parking, as most people will arrive by car after finding the hotel which was a problem to me personally only since my sat nav was set for auto strasa / big roads. Any way the wee tram terminus was within a few meters and the local Guiness bar was just three times that distance. both working till after 1:00am I cannot fault the Hotel. May I add that a daily ticket on the public service will prove that Milan is very, very worth a visit even to the average family punter, enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Possibly needs more guests but well worth supporting. They are working towards a goog establishment and do try to make you feel welcome
I would return without hesitation. Polite and helpful staff. Clean room and surroundings.
The restaurant is outstanding and the people that work at the hotel are super helpfull, we would have been lost in Milan witout them.
lovely hotel, convenient location - the old tram takes you to the centre (duomo) in just 10 minutes, friendly staff, fluent in English, rooms are clean, well equipped, lovely garden - great place to stay for very reasonable price
This hotel was very comfortable and quiet. Despite being a little worried about it not being very central in Milan and away from the Metro, it is in fact at the end of the number 2 tram line and was therefore quite close to Porta Genoa and the rest of Milan. Very good value!
We found it very difficult to locate the hotel but when we got there, the gardens etc were very very nice.
The hotel was excellent. Staff were very helpful, was a bit out of town but still within half an hour on the tram.
We were very pleased with the hotel.....especially at the rate we paid. We took the nearby "tram" to the Duomo area of Milan each day, very easy to do however recommend that you keep the window closed and use the air conditioner...which worked well..during summer, because you wil be "taken away" by the hundreds of mosquitos! A very good hotel for the price!!
This hotel is very nice place to stay with a small garden outside and nice places to eat and drink.
A very good price for a hotel in Milan close to the Navigli district. Staff was very friendly and speak english.
Nice Hotel, very beautiful garden. Not far from Naviglie (the bars and restaurant district).
One of the better hotels I've stayed at for the price. The hotel itself is very nice, but the whole surrounding area is undergoing renovation. Continental breakfast was very good, serving 7am-10am. All staff I spoke to could speak English. Recommended for the price.
Reception staff very helpful. Good breakfast.
