Overlooking a small canal, in a typical Venetian frame, Hotel Ca' dei Conti is a patrician palace located just a few minutes walk from St. Mark's Square. The Armenian family of the Sherimann, famous nobles in Venice, owned it until the end of the 19th Century. Count Sherimann transformed the palace in a shelter for homeless and poor orphan children during 1800. The building has been recently completely renovated inside and outside, preserving its original architecture. The hotel is on 3 levels: ground, first and second floors and includes two magnificent halls and terrace. Two original Greek columns dating back to the 13th Century and a well adorn the entrance. Furniture and fabrics in the rooms are in the 18th Century style. All the following modern facilities are provided: private bathroom, minibar, satellite TV, video-movies, heating and air conditioning with personal controller, telephone, safe and radio. CAR PARKING - Tronchetto: the hotel can be reached by private water taxi (20 minutes approximately) or by public transport with line 82 or Piazzale Roma: “GARAGE COMUNALE” or “GARAGE SAN MARCO”. You can reach the hotel by private water taxi (20 minutes approximately) or by public transportation - line 1 (50 minutes) and line 51 (25 minutes) to landing-stage San Zaccaria, line 82 (35/40 minutes) to San Zaccaria MONUMENTO. PLANE - The hotel is easy to reach by private water taxi in 30 minutes approximately; ask the taxi-driver to stop at "Campo Querini Stampalia”. You can also reach Venice by Alilaguna shuttle-boat service at the costs of € 10,00 per person, 1h10m ride to St. Mark’s Square.

We stayed for two nights before a cruise & were very surprised to have a lovely bath in our room, the room was less spacious but adequate for our needs. We then returned for a further two nights, after the cruise, to a much more spacious, quiet bedroom but only a shower. the staff were very friendly & attentative & the position of the hotel very good, quite central to everything we wanted to do.
The location of the hotel was brilliant, central to St Mark's Square and within walking distance of major attractions. The staff were extremely helpful and upgraded us to a suite which was greatly appreciated as we had been travelling for three weeks and it was wonderful to have extra room to spread out.

We totally enjoyed this hotel and it's perfect location for a short stay in Venice. We were given a suite with plenty of room, which is very unusual in Italy in my 5 visits there. I would definitely go back to this hotel on my next trip to Venice.
Excellent location, 5 minutes from St Mark's Square. Hotel very clean and rooms nicely furnished. Bed linen crisp and white. Wonderful nights sleep! Would highly recommend!
Very nice hotel. Room rather small but not unusual for City Centre hotel in a place like Venice. The location was excellent. Quiet area but only 2-3 minutes to St. Mark's Square. Breakfast was continental but the croissants were fresh baked and very good. Excellent for the price I paid.

Attic rooms very confined and bathrooms very small. The location is excellent however and we loved the decor.
This place is awesome. For Venice, this place is fantastic in every way. I'd recommend this without hesitation to anyone, but with some apprehension that it might become too popular!!
