"Nothing stands out as really good or really bad. I went on short notice and on the weekend, so the pricing wasn't an issue. The cleanliness of the rooms could be an issue for those used to better hotels, but if you're willing to accept that some of the rooms are a bit worn and dusty then it shouldn't be a major issue. I found the breakfast quite nice - at least you're given options for a hot meal. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the city centre, but it's right next to Calton Hill (which gives a great view of the city and the Firth of Forth) and not too far from Holyrood and Arthur's Seat." - Anonymous
"The staff was very friendly." - Henk Heesbeen
""We needed a place to sleep after a day in Edinburgh, to save having to get the last train back home to Glasgow. It was a perfectly comfortable and convenient location."" - Rob Pearce
"Better than expected. I'd certainly stay there again. " - Anonymous
