Staff were the best ad for this hotel as the venue is older and in some need of renovation (painting/tiling etc.) but the staff well and truly were attentive, helpful and friendly - pay rise for all!
Hotel was pleasant but could do with a refurbishment. Looked like a reject from the 70's. It was comfortable but I won't be staying again should I travel back to Cairns.
Nice hotel, close to the beach, good views of the waters and the hills. good value for money. Will stay here again.
Adequate facilities for the price - top floor equalled no traffic noise which is a bonus.

The Cairns Plaza Hotel proved to be an ideal location for our visit to Cairns, as it was just off the Esplanade, with barbeque facilities across the street, and easy access to the many restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend.
a decently priced hotel on a very goood location....right on the beach and very close to the city centre....rooms were clean, and the staff especially at the reception quite helpful...
Found the room very basic which was ok for a couple of days would want something better if staying longer - could do with a refurbishment. No coat hangers or anywhere to place clothing. Service was fine and although only half a dozen people appeared to be staying for the weekend the room was at the side of the building, would have been nicer to have been placed at the front. Handy location for a pleasant stroll to city centre and foreshore.

An older hotel but reasonably priced very friendly and helpful staff and very well located. an ideal overnighter.
The shower was old and did not remain sturdy. it kept falling over as the knobs could not be tightened any harder causing the shower to hand down against the wall and drip.
Very helpful staff and allowed us to keep our hire car at the Hotel after we had booked out as it was convenient for us. Would certainly stay there again.
Walk to everthing.Food at the Waterside was the best food we have ever ate.Older hotel but service makes up for it.
Tidy hotel just of the esplanade. 5 minutes walk to the center of Cairns. Staff were very helpful. Small pool.
