Calipolis Hotel Sitges

Wonderful hotel near the beach, perfectly located the staff are wonderful and very helpfull Perfect breakfast buffé worth every penny A real pleasure staying there. We just loved the very big terass and the seaview :)

The hotel is great and the location is great but when we arrived we found an opened bottle of vodka in the mini-bar. We only had breakfast on one morning and there was a lovely selection of food but the hot food was in fact cold. I'd stay in this hotel again but I wouldn't spend the money on the breakfast.

Room lacks some basic four-star facilities, such as coffee and tea maker. But the views from most of the balconies are beautiful as the curve of the hotel means that nearly all get a sea view. The breakfasts are very good and include cava if you fancy an early 'start'. The reception and pool areas are modern. The staff don't exactly give you a cheery welcome, but will help you if you need their assistance.

We've stayed here about 3 times before so we went back after its refurb. All that has been done as regards the room appears to be repainting and new furnishings. The plastic chairs are horrible. The service is poor, eg at breakfast we were abandoned. No info about where to get coffee/tes but we just went walk about and found the machine. No one spoke to us; in fact, no one attendng at all. if we had not been before we might have felt intimidated. reception unfriendly. On one occasion we parked our car outside hotel and went in to get water to clean off bird droppings. My husband returned with water and told me that he had been observed by receptin who had sent a person to follow him tocheck that he was a resident! There were less than 10 rooms occupied at the time! They did not even recognise us. Not even a Happy Xmas greeting!

Have stayed at the Calipolis each year for the last 5 years and have always been very pleased with the hotel. It has a great location, with proximity to the centre of town without the street noise. While the pool is small, the terrace is a pleasant place. The staff are friendly and businesslike. The availability of towels to take to the beach is a bonus. I would highly recommend the Calipolis to any visitor to wonderful Sitges.

My sixth stay at the Calipolis and I intend to continue to use this great hotel. Best location, quiet and friendly (restaurant staff could be a bit more cheerful, but frankly it's best to use the hotel as a B&B).

Very good location in Sitges. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Close to all attractions in Sitges with Nightclub buses leaving just in front of the hotel to all clubs. An ideal location for couples travelling and who want to have a good time.

Excellent hotel. Perfect location for central Sitges, beachs, bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly.

Hotel staff were very helpful and gave excellent service. Our room was well maintained and typical of four star standard. Reception area and foyer was very modern but rather cold and unwelcoming, marble and plastic are good to look at and to keep clean but the area could do with some fabrics to soften and warm the area and create a more welcoming atmosphere.

Great breakfast buffet except for the hot food. Best hotel coffee from a machine. The seating in public areas is not the most comfortable. On the whole a very enjoyable stay but I do not think I would return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Calipolis, perfect position on the beach, well appointed room with a few signs of wear and tear but everything functioned properly, good efficient air-conditioning, plenty of hot water all day. Our room was clean and aired when we arrived and was kept absolutely spotless throughout our stay. Top class breakfast buffet worthy of any 5 star hotel, a full choice of fresh well presented ingredients. The staff were efficient, courteous and couldnt have been more helpful from extra towels to arranging taxis. The public rooms were clean and modern, a well stocked bar at reasonable prices. The hotel had a small swimming pool (new) and poolside bar great for a pleasant afternoon break from the beach. We would highly recommend this hotel for comfortable stay close to the beach and the nightlife but without the hassle of being in the thick of it. We are already planning a return visit.

Great location but limited facilities for a '4 star' establishment. Receptionist looked surprised when asked if they could arrange airport transfers or had a hotel bus to airport. Tiny pool and decor is a little dated. However, friendly staff, reasonable price and good breakfasts were provided. Caution: avoid 'saint's days / public holidays as the town lays on a concert on the promenade opposite the hotel with live music / DJ etc. which does not begin until 0.30am and ends 04.30am - and will keep you awake.

Just got back with my daughter, great location. The city itself is amazing and the location right across from the beach makes it worthwhile. It is expensive in Barcelona so this is a nice respite.
