Callas Am Dom Hotel Cologne

Great place to stay, right in the city centre near the amazing Dom, i could even see the Dom from the bedroom. The room was clean, the bed was great, the staff friendly, and the price was reasonable. I would definately stay here again.

Right in town... Close to The Dom. Would definately go there again for convenience if nothing else. They are upgrading the rooms and were very welcoming on arrival. Breakfast was simple, continental, but more than adequate with good variety/choice.

Strong recommendation. Simple, straightforward hotel with pleasant staff and a generous continental breakfast.

The King Size room booked had a bed that was between single and double size and the whole room was so tiny that even if the toilet/shower door had closed [it was broken at the hinges] one would not have been able to go to the toilet without puitting one foot in the shower tray. Location was superb, right on the main shopping street of Cologne and staff very friendly

A basic hotel, right in the middle of the city centre, in a pedestrian area.

On Saturday evening in summer do not sleep in a room at the front: bachelor parties are roaming the city and can be quite loud. So sleeping with an open window means you hear them until 2 am. Otherwise: friendly atmosphere, hotel is in the High Street of Cologne at a minute walk from the Dom Church.

Nice hotel at a good location. A hotel for tourists who wants to shop and go out, that all at walking distance of the hotel. My opinion: a little bit to expensive. Friendly staff and a good and tasty breakfast buffet (small). Simply rooms with a good bathroom. Bed was good. Rooms in front of the hotel a little bit noisy.

Very basic hotel room, however we got a room on the roof and had awesome view of the Dom. Close to Dom and railway station.

Desk staff did not speak English which created some issues communicating. Other than that I thought the hotel was good and the location was great.

We had a room looking at the street in front of the hotel and it was a little bit too noisy all night.

If you need a cheap hotel near the Cologne train station, this is definitely an option...just on the other side of the Cathedral from the Hauptbahnhof so you have to walk past/around it to get to and from...which was a plus for me.

Nice little hotel in a great location rigth next to the cathedral and train station. Easy to find, friendly staff, and well priced. I definitely will be staying there again the next time I go to Cologne.

The hotel was fine, but the location was hard to find. It is "tucked" away which is good if you already know where you're going! Otherwise, it was nice. Would stay again!

Negative aspects: The TV was broken, the lift was broken half the time (we stayed on the 4th floor), we had to go ask for toilet paper since at the beginning there was none. Positive aspects: The location is very good. It is very close to the Dom, and we could see it from our balcony. Just outside the front door are a large number of shops, but sleeping was not a problem, since there are not many people when the shops are closed. The breakfast was good.

Very well located, good compromise price/quality.

The hotel is on one of the main shopping streets in Cologne, right near the Dom. Excellent location. But the rooms are really really really small. I booked a so-called 'king size' room on this site, and it was smaller than a bedsit. The shower door didn't close over, and the toilet was so badly positioned, it was impossible to sit comfortably on it. The television was tiny, with a very limited choice of stations. This hotel is more like a hostel. Cheap and basic. But very basic. If you know that's all you're getting for your money, you'll be happy. If you were expecting more, then you'll be sorely disappointed.

This hotel was in a perfect location! From here, we could walk to the cathedral, Rhine river tours, and shopping and eating galore! The hotel is located on a pedestrian-only street and right in the middle of the action. Beware, however, taxi's cannot drive you right up to the hotel! If you are coming from the train station, it is just a short walk, but get directions from the hotel in advance. The accommodations were clean, and a little old. But for the price, it was perfect!
