Camelot Cathedral Square Hotel Christchurch

We were allocated a wonderful room which made the stay excellent. Great venue for being close to the city hub. Wanted to take my pillow home because they were so good, I didn't though.

Fabulous location and fabulous price - perfect for our needs.

I found the Camelot to be a great experience, pricing, service, and facilities were great, very helpful, freindly staff. Only one drawback that ifound, and that was that a lot of the lightbulbs had blown and had not been replaced. Made things somewhat gloomy. Otherwise a great exerince.

Got the room with Cathedral view and spacious. Great value and location for money. Helpful staff at the counter.

Brilliant location. We had a perfect corner room with an awesome view of the square. The traffic noise stops around 10.30pm so we got a great nights sleep. Great value for the price and super close to everything in town. Will stay again.

My daughter and I stayed two nights in the Camelot and were very happy with our stay. We are intending to return to Christchurch in May and will stay at the Camelot then as well.

The room was dark, noisy from the traffic on the road and the carpets too old and appeared dirty. Not worth for the money spent. There were many other hotels with cheaper value and better facilities in the same area.

Basic facilities but good value, great location. Happy to stay there again.

Older property - dated furnishings but good location and price

Overall not too bad. Could have had a cloth or tea towel. Nothing to wipe things up if they spilled. The grout on the shower wall was a bit mouldy but overall okay.

The service was excellent. The staff were happy to store my kayak safely overnight. It was greatly appreciated.

I particularly liked the service provided. I had my luggage looked after by the staff after check out for a couple of hours. Also, staff was willing to take pictures of me and my partner, to give information and ordering a taxi on my behalf.

Convenient, reasonable facilities and priced well for what you get. Vehicle parking is an issue.

Not the flashest accomodation but very cental to shops and transport. Helpful freindly staff

Excellent location right in the centre of the city but very quiet lots of good reasonably priced eating places within easy walking. Cheap shuttle services, and bus transport a few metres away Staff were very helpful. We had a room that overlooked Cathedral Square and would ask for the same side of the hotel again. We also had an very reasonable room rate that we had found on the internet. More than half the usual price. Would definitely stay again for the location and rate.

We found it a great location, even overlooking the Catherdral Square, night noise was not a problem. Very little seemed to filter into the room.

if they could just clean up the place a bit it would be a really great place to stay. the service staff are very helpful.
