Campanile Hotel Liverpool Guest Reviews

This place is just fine. I only stayed one night and even then only for a few hours, but the room was nice and clean (it's in a different building to reception and bar) and there was a nice friendly lad on the desk. Well located just beside Albert Dock

"You get what it says on the tin" with this motel/hotel. It serves its purpose. Clean, accessible and certainly gives value for money. It's a little bit down the road from the main attractions but when the weather's good they are easily walkable. Didn't eat there as we had a prior engagement. Free parking -a godsend. A MacD accross the road for brekki and a good view of part of the Docks. Would stay again.

Liverpool Hotels in the year of culture seem to be quite expensive. The Campanile was very reasonably priced. 10minutes walk from the City Centre and a bit less to The Albert Dock. Bedrooms clean and comfortable, a basic hotel, as we knew it would be, but the cooked breakfast was not very nice, but as you could also indulge, as much as you wished, on the Continental breakfast, that helped. Reception very pleasant.

We were very impressed by the Campanile. We also had our evening meal there which we feel could perhaps have a more extensive and improved menu. On the last night we ordered steak from their daily menu and it was quite uneatable - we did actually leave both our steaks uneaten. Otherwise it was lovely and the breakfasts were excellent.

Glass rather than plastic to drink out of would be more appropriate and a refrigerator in the room would be an advantage, particularly for people travelling around who are likely to have milk, food, drinks etc to keep cool. Otherwise facilities good.

A first time stay. Pleasantly surprised. Location is excellent with free parking. Reception very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in airy room overlooking the river. Tables available outside on terrace. Tried the dinner which was cooked to order but could have done better for the same money in the Albert Dock area. Rooms spotlessly clean. Would stay again.

The room was perfect - spacious & a fantastic view. The bathroom could do with updating though. The staff were lovely. Hotel in an excellent position. Would stay in a Campanile Hotel again.

Basic but knew it would be so did exactly what it said on the tin. Staff were really friendly and helpful but some of the guests were a bit choice!

The room was basic but clean and comfortable. As we were travelling with our son and had requested a cot we were given a family-size room which was a great help. We would definitely go there again.

While overall the place was clean, cobwebs were visible over the bed. An acessible internet computer for guest use (at a cost of course) would be most useful.

Nice basic clean hotel by dockside. Only slight drawback was that it was about 20 min walk to centre but taxis were readily available. All in all good choice to be near centre without sky high prices. Also good to have free parking.

Highly recommended. Prime location to all central points of interest and very economical if booked in advance.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable with good a breakfast variety available. The Bar is really only a token gesture but ther is a good club across the road if you dont fancy the 15 min walk to the city centre.

This was a lovely little hotel in a very convenient location. The room was clean and bright and the view on to the river was a great surprise. The staff were very helpful.

This is more of an American-style hotel in that it is newer and perhaps more modern. Full breakfast buffet. Excellent location right next to the Mersey River and a block from the Albert Dock (home of the Beatles Story, starting point of the Magical Mystery Beatles Tour, and shopping). Not a great location if you prefer being closer to the downtown activities, but taxi fare is reasonable. I really liked this facility.
