Campanile Washington Hotel Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

Very comfortable hotel, clean and very friendly staff, i stayed here for 4 weeks and found it to be very good for the price. If i had any complaints that would be not enough tv channels, and no sky football in rooms or in bar. (sorry sky 1 only in bar area). Food was very tasty and the chefs special were good quality.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Basic, but has all you need for an overnight stay.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Campanile Hotel. The staff were very friendly. Rooms and bedding very clean. we will visit them again on our next stay in the north-east. All you need for a short stay.

Needed a place to sleep convenient for Gateshead rather than luxury accommodation - got a good last minute deal and stayed at Campanile for the first time. Impressed by clean but basic accommodation for a great price. No frills but no complaints either. Friendly staff. Would certainly use again on a through trip

VERY difficult to find from the Sunderland end - Washington is a maze of roundabouts with poor road signs, and the Campanile's map is truly awful. Pleasant staff but ludicrous prices for meals - enough to make me not bother. Room facilities OK except the bath - minute! Must have been designed for Ronnie Corbett! Very expensive - costly enough for me to have to think twice about repeating my stay.

Have used on the continent. Went up for a funeral with other family members who also stopped on our recommendation. All went very well and would use again. Thanks

The road didnt exist on my maps or Autoroute and the postcode didnt match but it was worth finding. A phone call to a helpfull member of staff sorted us out. The rooms are not over large but everything is there, its clean and it functions. Being a French group the food puts the hotel at the top of our list and the staff are friendly and efficient. Top marks for value for money.

Only stayed for 1 night but found the hotel to be very accommodating, easy to find and in a handy location for where we were going. Staff were pleasant, helpful and quick to serve. Room was suitable for the one night stay required. Would recommend the hotel to anybody planning to spend a few days in the area.

Booked this hotel on price alone. Very pleased therefore to find that room was very clean and contained all facilities needed for short stay (even a hair dryer!). Quite room, staff were friendly, service good and food / breakfast excellent value. Would stay again - not 5 star, but excellent value.
