Hotel Can Carol is in an old house from the 14th century, completely and authentically restored, and strategically located near the paleolithic caves of Abric Romani, in the historic area of La Font de la Reina - the ancient road from Barcelona to Madrid. This wonderfully historic house offers very comfortable and pleasant accommodation in its seven rooms and suites.all with complete bathrooms of course. Each room is uniquely decorated, and there are four double rooms, one single room, one junior suite and the Suite Font de la Reina. There is satellite television in each room, telephone, internet connection, air conditioning, laundry service and room service. In the garden there is a pleasant swimming pool and terrace for the warmer days. Free parking is available. The hotel is close to Igualada, close to the major roads that cross Cataluna from north to south and east to west. Just an hours drive to the airport and Barcelona, close to Montserrat and fifteen minutes drive to Valafranca del Penedes. Breakfast is served and there is a selection of meals available on a dinner menu |

From Barcelona take the A2 freeway towards Tarragona exit at the sign for Martorell-Lleida (AP2 highway). After 25min get off from AP2 at the Igualada Est gate. At the first traffic light continue in the direction of Capellades and drive along this road until La Pobla de Claramunt gate. At the first traffic light you will see a Can Carol road sign which indicate a left hand turn. Follow the road for a few meters and you will see another Can Carol road sign on your left. This will lead you down a dirt road. Drive along it and you will find the hotel. |
