Canaan International Hotel Xi'an

The ladies at The Desk were as halpful as they could be with a foreign tourist. They were ALWAYS prepared to solve any problems I had even if they were not able to solve them themselves! These ladies were always polite and helpful and tried very hard to solve any problem as quickly as they could. I enjoyed staying at Xi'an Canaan International Hotel and would stay there again if I returned to Xi'an!

nice decor, comfortable beds, had a nice stay

We got 2 rooms and only stayed the night to see the Terricotta Warriors. The carpet was stained and walls had marks on it, but it didn't worry us. Great price and it good they let us check in at 7am because of our early train arrival. The Location is 5 minutes but taxi from train station.

OK good room with a balcony. Was not able to get a decent western breakfast. The hotel couldn´t order a taxi for me for short trips.

Personnel was available and helpful. Cooking delicious and any requests whether for internet or massage was quick and efficient.

A nice hotel in the cityat the lower price with more facilities

The guest reservations manager was very helpful and pleasant. She gave us another room when the first one smelled of smoke. She wrote us a personal note.

Fairly good location though hidden away a bit. Rooms quite large, hotel tired but looks reasonably impressive from the foyer. Western breakfast available, evening meal at restuarant left a left a lot to be desired. The bullfrogs in the entry to be chosen for a meal were a bit offputting tho. Tilly the lady who was there to assist westerners was very helpful and spoke good English. Also a very helpful Assistant Manager.

I enjoyed my stay at the Canaan International Hotel. The staff was extremely kind and always willing to go out of their way to help me. I'm glad I stayed here, and I would definately recommend it. In fact I did, to another traveler on my trip. Thanks to all the helpful staff, especially Jilly who made me feel right at home!

A little tricky to find, in lane behind Hyatt, but room was OK, service fine and breakfast was OK and inexpensive.

This hotel offers us the best deal and we actually get to stay in non-moking room, which is rather rare while traveling in China. The location is excellent.e stayed there for six nights only and I wish we stayed there longer. I recommend anyone for this excellent hotel. Esther - My family and I stayed there in June, 2008

The Canaan International is very affordable, but the amenities are lacking. There was no air conditioning in the common areas and the shower tiles and curtain were moldy. The housekeeping staff hung out on the balcony outside my room, talking loudly in the early morning. However, the front desk staff were helpful and several of them spoke English.

The staff were very friendly..helped me with everything I needed. They were very obliging in doing so. They tried there best efforts even though the communication barrier. Great service!

Nice lobby. Some of the rooms were untidy on arrival. Friendly staff trying to please you. Nice van service to the terracota warriors. Western breakfast not good quality. 20 minutes from Bell tower

Single glasses in windows + big holes = too cold on the winter. Not too far to the center. Hotel is old and was in renowation.

very basic, our view was apartments 10 meters away.noisy due to fans outside our window. perfect central location.

stuff very helpful -You can get help in english from Tinna. This hotel is near the airport 10 min drive. Good for early morning flights.

The hotel did not look very attractive from the outside. But inside it was fine. They have a restaurant with a very good menu and service. It is possible to have an English breakfast/ We paid a low price for the room. They did not clean the sides of the badroom sink properly.

Having reached Canaan International after a long and tiring train journey, I found the staff most hospitable and friendly, going the extra mile to ensure that we felt comfortable. Although the rooms can definitely do with some upgrade and the initial shock of skimpily clad women knocking on doors in the middle of the night is still sinking in, I'd recommend for travellers to stay at Canaan International purely for their service.

Everyting went as smoothly as it could in China.
