My husband and I were visiting Venice for only a day and we would be lugging around our suitcases, too, so the close proximity to the Santa Lucia train station worked out in our favor. We would have preferred to be more central to where the shops were, but it would have been a complete pain to drag our luggage over several mini-bridges (Venice is full of them) and those mini-bridges are all stairs. We just left our luggage at the hotel, which was literally across the canal, and we walked to the tourist sites, which took maybe 15 minutes (if you didn't get lost in all the mini alleys). The hotel was clean, definitely not new, but served it purpose. It had no elevator so you had to bring your luggage up the stairs, but not a big deal for anyone not minding the climb. Our room was huge, with three beds, and the bathroom was stocked with a ton of fresh towels. It looked out over the water with two big windows that also brought in lots of sunlight. I'd def stay here again because it was a great value for Venice, which is really expensive!
A wonderful canal front hotel minutes from teh train station. Its not a luxury place, but the location is first rate, the staff friendly and helpful and the room was clean and everything worked. It would have been perfect if it had wireless internet, but that's just being picky. The place is on the canal so a bit noisy in the mornings, but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. Besides, you need to get up and have breakfast before you see this wonderful city. We would certainly stay there again.
The hotel was perfectly fine for our stay. It is a great location if you are taking the train. And the view onto the Grand Canal was nice. It was not super high end but everything was fine. The room was small, but that seems to be the norm for Europe hotels. The breakfast was pretty good but I wish there was something different each morning so we didn't have to eat the very same thing every morning for four days. The front desk staff spoke very good English and were extremely helpful with suggestions and directions.
great hotel to stay in very close to transportation Continenal breakfast was average.Nothing spec.
Perfect location, nice clean rooms, bathroom slightly "worn out". Anyway I do recommend, expecially rooms with canal view (not towards Grand Canal, but towards side canal).
Easy walk from the train station and right on the main canal so perfect location. not as clean as would be expected - dirty floor and crap shower
This hotel is almost right across from the train station - great for coming and going! The rooms were worn, but clean. The gal at the desk made many calls for us to arrange tours, etc. and was very helpful. They even kept our bags late so we could still wander around our last day there. Breakfast was sparse european style, but okay. Since most of our time was spent out, it was good for us as far as location and helpfulness. It was also surprisingly quiet! But if you can just go into Venice and ask for prices, you'll get about 20$ cheaper prices per night...fyi
Great hotel. Located opposite the station and easy to find. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.
Most enjoyable. Great view, location , rooms - beutiful and large !
Very placent little hotel, located just across the train station. Very good service and good breakfast.
All rooms with Canal views that are superb. Breakfast is basic but plentiful with lots of good coffee.
A nice sophisticated hotel right in front of the main train station. Everything is reachable by no time..had a good time in Venice!!
Centrally located near the main terminus. Staff were very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Big bathroom and helpful front-desk staff.
Very conveniently located across from the train station and reasonably priced. Helpful staff and nice breakfast. The only negatives were 1) the shower was extremely small and 2) the lobby area and hallway had a bad odor, but not the actual hotel room. Given the time passing through these areas is limited, I would stay here again.
