"Steelwool in buffet breakfast plate ,2 inches in length Toilet leak on floor,bath mat barely able to soak up.Next morning yellow tinted water in top of vanity basin and in drawers from behind plumbing panel 3rd night someone had left the shower door open and set of the smoke alarm .A regular occurance so we were told " - Lyn Hinrichsen

Hotel description:    The Canberra Rex Hotel is a Hotel with a long tradition where many national, as well as international celebrities, famous athletes and guests have enjoyed their stay.

Our Hotel offers 157 rooms, ALL ROOMS NON-SMOKING, and you can choose between Deluxe King Bed, Deluxe Twin, Family or Executive Suites rooms. All rooms are recently refurbished, and feature wireless internet, individual temperature controlled airconditioning, and free in-house movies.

Possibly you may decide to try some of the delicious meals from our room service or restaurant. Or how about a workout in the fitness centre and then relax your body in the sauna? Of course, we provide our guests with free off street parking.

Currently Canberra Rex Hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and refurbishment of all the rooms part by part. Essentially, this has no effect on our guests stay. Next year a new 4.5 star hotel will be constructed and Rex Hotel will become a part of a one of the most luxurious accommodation facilities in Canberra, with the a total 311 suites, new restaurants, brasserie and two bars.

We advise our guests that Canberra Rex Hotel is a non smoking property. Cleaning fee may be charged on guests account in the case this policy is disregarded.

Getting there: The Hotel is 1 km from the City Centre. Located on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Ipima street.
Approx 15 minutes drive from the Airport & the Train station.

The location of our Hotel offers our guests the comfort of reaching the Canberra city centre within walking distance. In the case your business is in one of the main corporate or government districts such as Belconnen or Woden, they are conveniently only a short drive away.
