An excellent hotel, ideally placed in the centre of town. Although no parking, a public parking garage was within a 100 meters and there are possibilities to unload and load in front of the hotel.
We stayed at the Carlton in mid May 2008. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and is shrowded in scaffolding and plastic which was initially a bit disconcerting. However as we stayed on a friday night and left on saturday morning no construction works was being undertaken. We had a very enjoyable if brief stay. The hotel is excellently located and the staff effecient and friendly. We will certainly go back but may wait until the work is complete.

The interior of the hotel is very tired and requires refeurbishment, but it is in a very good postion

Very nice welcome. Excellent central location. They can park your car in a safe parking and this only cost €17 irrespective of how long they park it for. Excellent!

The reception area and all public areas were of a high standard. The price included breakfast which was good and the breakfast itself was of a high standard. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Nice hotel, comfortable, but that is the minimum you expect from a 4* and on that basis I feel it struggles to justify the tag. However, location excellent in the very heart of Lille, a city I'd never visited but would recommend heartily for a weekend away.
