Carlton Hotel Singapore

stayed at the Carlton for the christmas/new year period. it was a great location. a mere 5 minutes walk from raffles city shopping centre and MRT station. staff were polite and eager to please. from the moment i arrived in a taxi from the airport, the staff were ready to open the doors of the taxi and wanting to help with my luggage. even on departure they were as helpful as ever. the only con was that internet was not included and cost was an extra SGD$20 per 24hrs.

Great Hotel. Next door to famous Raffles. Would stay again

Great hotel with friendly staff and excellent customer service. Conveniently located. I would definitley stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Thought this hotel was great when I stayed in 2009, now bigger & better. Could not fault the service, comfortable rooms & excellent, central location. Will be staying again next time I'm in Singapore.

Stayed at the new wing. Clean, good size, comfy bed. Will stay again. With the room rate, internet access should be free.

Great hotel. I love the location opposite CHIJMES and it's very handy for the MRT train. The hotel is clean, modern and there are thoughtful touches in the room such as an international plug adapter. Everything you need is there. My only criticism is the price of the breakfast buffet - the choice was excellent and everything was always available, but $30 was a bit steep!

Location of Carlton is excellent, just opposite of Chijmes (many eating outlets), Raffles City (shopping complex) and Raffles Hotel (Long Bar, famous for Singapore Slings). Room in the old wing are outdated and in need of refurbishment. Swimming pool area is well- kept and gym well-equipped. ABF not included and bought separately expensive. Internet connection also not included in room rate. Consierge- & reception staff very polite, but check-out process is slow without any obvious reason.

Excellent location, close to MRT and bus as well as a convenient supermarket in the basement of Raffles Plaza. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.

This Hotel had all we needed it is in an excellent position, its close to the start of Orchard Rd, right next door to Raffles hotel, just a 2 min walk to train stations. Would Absolutely stay here again. It's prices are on par with other Hotels, so its a fair rate. I would recommend this Hotel.

A good location, close to multiple MRT stations. The hotel room was very clean and quite cheap for NYE. The power went out a few times but maintenance was sent up immediately to resolve. You will need to pay $60 Sing to use the spa which I thought was a little steep.

This is the second time in as many months that I have stayed here. It is a friendly hotel in a good location at a good price

Everything was excellent except the breakfast. We had a buffet breakfast one morning which included cold beans, cold scrambled eggs, cold bacon, cold tomato....(you get the idea!) and it cost approx SIN$80 for two people!! We also got charged 10% service charge which is a bit of a cheek considering it's buffet and therefore you serve yourself!! Location couldn't be better, 3 min walk to MRT station, 3 min walk to Raffles hotel and shopping complex. Orchard road shopping is walkable (about 25 mins) but is also easily reached by bus/train. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the service overall was very good.......just don't have the breakfast!

Good standard hotel. Great location and if you get a good price its well worth staying there.

Good friendly service in a well-located hotel at a good price

The location of the hotel was great but the hotel did not have a high standard of cleanliness. The bathroom was very old and was just wiped dried and never cleaned. All the handles were dirty and basically no really effort was ever made to really clean anything in the room. I do not think i would ever use this hotel again as cleanliness is very important to me, everything else was ok.

I found that this hotel provided for my needs at the time I was there. My only criticism was that I requested a non-smoking room, and I appeared to be on a smoking floor. This may have been because I arrived early, and I was given access to a room well before check-in time. therefore I did not complain to the hotel.

I like the huge lobby area which gives a sense of luxury & comfort. Overall cleanliness is commendable. Location is not too bad as the facilities in the vicinity is a plenty. Water pressure though its a bit weak !

The Hotel was excellently located right near the train station and a short walk to city hall. The staff were helpful and polite. Singapore was excellent. Recommend the free tour at the Singapore Art Museum.
