"It is true that the entrance hall of the Carlyna Hotel does not inspire confidence - it is very narrow, the carpet is grubby, the large mirror along all one wall is stained. However, once you get up the stairs, it is all rather different. Our room was reasonably spacious, the mattress seemed new and the linen was spotless, the bathroom was also very clean even though the grouting in the bath was a bit amateurish. The breakfast was good and the people were friendly. I would stay there again - I thought it was excellent value for money (apart from the entrance hall!)" - Anonymous
"A bit too noisy during day and night as there are lots of scooters and public busses running nearby ! Location next to Place Massena and 10 min from Old Town and the Promenade des Anglais is great, though ! Breakfast is simple (French !). " - Anonymous
