Like a star in the night sky, Hotel Casa Cuitlateca sits on the highest point overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay. This unique five-room boutique hotel is reached by a swaying suspension bridge, but for those afraid of heights, there are also steps wandering through the gardens and up to the main reception area. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house sharing a comfortable lobby. One of these is a suite with a living area, and the other one has a deck overlooking the Bay of Zihuatanejo. Both have fairly large bathrooms and king-size beds. The other guestroom has a queen-size bed. The other two guestrooms are in the adjacent building, each with a king-size bed, a sitting area, and a deck with a built-in chaise and a spectacular view. There is a private terrace and a hot tub at the very top of this building. The main area is comprised of a sundeck, dining area, kitchen, bar, and a stunning infinity swimming pool made of local small river rocks and surrounded by a tropical lily pond. On one side of the pool sits a palapa-shaded gazebo where you can while away the day without being disturbed. A full breakfast is included in the room price, and lunch and dinner are provided upon request. Although it is possible to walk to the beach, it is a very long, steep walk. In addition, upon arrival you will be greeted at the airport and welcomed with a refreshing drink. |
