"The taxi driver took us to Rio Hotel which was wrong and the lady at reception told us many times people mistaken Rio as Casa Real. Casa Real is opposite of Golden Dragon. Taxi fare suppose to be HKD$70 from airport inclusive of fee for 3 baggages. The location is only near to Fisherman's Whalf and Sands. However, hotel room is value for money. We got free upgrade to suite room which is very nice and spacious. Had a bar area and very big bathroom with nice bath tub. The staffs were friendly and helpful too. However, the lobby was really smoky with cigarrate smell luckily not in the room." - Rebecca Yong
"Everything is great with this hotel.
The only bad thing about this hotel is that its shuttle bus is very hard to find when you arrive for the 1st time in Macau. You need to get out of the ferry terminal, head towards the shuttle buses (where all the buses are parked). Behind the "big hotel buses" (MGM, Sands, etc), there will be a line of "smaller buses".
Wait patiently as the Casa Real Bus comes around every 30mins." - Stanley So

It is also close to the Sands Macau, the Macau Fishmen’s Wharf, Macau Cultural Center. *** Kindly be informed that as part of our continuous upgrading program, an extensive renovation on 9th Floor will be progress from 11 May 2009 until the earlier in July 2009. During the renovation period, there will be inevitable drilling and hammering sounds when the heavy works are in progress, but we assure you that no alarming noise will take place during the night. The renovation works will be carried out from 9a.m. to 6p.m. daily.***
