Casa Verardo was a great little hotel in the heart of the action in Venice. We had a lovely time and enjoyed soaking up the history beside one of the wondrous canals.
A quaint little hotel, very nice, clean, staff very friendly & helpful & also very close to St Marco Square & transport. The only problem we had was carrying luggage up the stairs as no lift. Would highly recommend.
Seems like a brand new hotel just off St. Marks Square. Rooms were amazingly nice and staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed at both Casa Karsch and Casa Verardo and both were very nice. Casa Verardo was very traditional while Casa Karsch was very modern.
A great find - yes finding it is also difficult, but once you do, it is a breeze to come and go. Very clean, and a friendly helpful staff. Room quite small, but well furnished and cozy. Breakfast on the outside verandah overlooking a canal is delightful. Very close to St Marks Square, and readily accessible with luggage from the Vaporetto stop. Would recommend this place to my friends as a good base for "doing" Venice.
Beautiful interior, excellent staff, ideal location close to St Mark's Square. Tea/ coffee facilities in room would be nice however, but would definitely go back there again.
Close to essential attractions, but the hotel was hard to find. Very nice interior and building. Nice and friendly staff. Would like to come back if we return to Venice.
The hotel is very well situated and not difficult to find and reach with our luggage after taking the Vaporetto line 2 from the bus station. We had the room on the third floor with the terrasse looking out on the canal in front of the hotel and the tower on the Piazza S. Marco square. Since the weather was great this was really nice in the mornings and the evenings. Every day we got wonderful advice from Jacomo for places to have diner. We especially suggest the Taverna Campiello del Remer: difficult to find but a very nice place!
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Single room excellent with a lovely view over rooftops. Once you found the hotel then it was very convenient to all main attractions.
From the ferry terminals at San Zaccaria take calle de le Rasse at the left of the Hotel Danieli to the Campo, then with the pharmacy on your right and the Hotel Rio on your left, go along calle drio la Chiesa and cross a small bridge to the hotel. Excellent location close to San Marco with plenty of restaurants within a few minutes' walk. My third floor single room was small but adequate with a view of the rooftops. It was a little warm at night (end October) and mosquitoes were a pest if the windows were opened. Breakfast buffet was OK, coffee and tea facilities in the rooms would be nice. Desk staff friendly and helpful. No problem staying there another time.
Great location (only a couple of minutes from St Marks Square). The hotel was clean, pretty and had everything we needed. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations (so we avoided the expensive tourist places on the main stips). Would highly recommend this hotel and would definatley book it again!
A very quaint hotel with a touch of class. Excellent location very close to St.Mark's square, yet off the beaten path and quiet. Service good, makes one feel welcome.
Lovely venetian atmosphere. A small boutique style hotel. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff. We had a great stay.
This is a lovely small hotel a few minutes walk from St Mark's Square. Staff very friendly, nice large rooms (fantastic shower, best ever) big open public spaces including a great outdoor patio. Very handy to everything, though a bit hard to find ... it's actually in Calle drio la Chiesa, which is off the piazza (go up the alley with Hotel Rio on your left). Other guests were also a bit confused the first time ... ah, but that's Venice!
Trés bien situé, trés belle décoration
The hotel staff spoke good english and the rooms were clean. The location was pretty central but the breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Fantastic hotel which i would recommend to anybody. The room was spacious, although with only a wardrobe and no drawers we did have a bit of a struggle for space.
Breakfast was adequate but could be much better. Other than that a lovely hotel, quiet, good location.
Excelent hotel for the price.
good location but a bit pricy. staff and service good.
This is a really excellent hotel in a fantastic location just set back from "the beaten track" less than 5mins from St Mark's square. The hotel itself is full of traditional features, but with a modern, airy feel. Our room was upgraded at no extra cost and was kept spotlessly clean and lovely, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with confirming restaurant reservtions and making general recommendations for our stay. Breakfast was great and the terrace overlooking the canal and the garden terrace are wonderful places to relax. The only thing I would add is a bar, but I hear that one is on the way and there are loads of great ones close by anyway. I have already recommended this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again, particularly at the great price from this site.
