Getting there:In the green Brianza within an ancient parkland at about 40 Km. from Milan, easily reachable from the Airport and at 8 Km from Como centre stands the Castello di Casiglio, historical building of the 12th Century with the adjoining Villa Elena, old country house that dates back to the nineteenth century.

Beautiful settings and stunning historic building but the level of service was not up to the standards expected of a four star hotel.
Beautiful, historical hotel in a great, quiet location close to Como. Restaurant served lovely food and wine with friendly and prompt service. The breakfast was pleasantly comprehensive considering it was included in a very low room rate. Plenty of free parking space (note that many of the hotels in Como don't have parking or, if they do, many charge 10-15 euro per day - so remember to add this cost your room rate when comparing hotels in the area). Our ground floor room in the main hotel was clean, of a good size with nice views over the garden. The bathroom was a bit tired (not a major issue though).
Beautiful spot
Very romantic place! An old castle with a large garden and outdoor swimingpool with pergolas. A triple room was very large with 4 windows (1 in bathroom), only the 3rd bed was rather pitiful (foldaway). As it was an old castle, there were only antic furnitures, so, do not expect high-quality design. Decent breakfest with a lot of cookies. For the surroundings it deserves its 4 stars.
