Another nice hotel, formerly girls' school, formerly Convent.Near the River Shannon providing some pleasant grounds in which to walk. Smart interior;helpful staff but no lifts so a hefty haul up the stairs to the room. Spacious room, which had a faulty light bulb but... NO hot water for either shower or sink.. Food very good and plentiful. Breakfast choice a bit spartan. All in all a nice hotel but not for those lacking muscle or energy to get up and down the stairs. There is a leisure centre for various activities but we did not enquire. Plenty of outside parking areas.

The staff is very nice. We ate at the restaurant and the service and food was splendid. We left at three o'clock in the night and the nightreceptionary made for us breakfast, frsh fruit etc. In one word Castle Oaks and the people who are working there are marvalous.

Really does need a lift (they said they couln't install one since a listed building) but eldely people struggled with luggage and some had trouble getting up the stairs. Otherwise very nice hotel and good breakfasts.

This is a beautiful location to stay, it has beautiful walks along the river shannon. The room we stayed in was very large and nicely furnished. Ensuite was lovely and plenty of room. A Word of warning the only fault I had was the hot water "it was scalding hot", and I had difficulty getting the right temperature for the shower, you certinely would have it sorted before you got in, otherwise you could get badly scalded. We booked through [your website] and got an excellent rate. Overall We enjoyed our stay in Castle Oaks House Hotel and had no complaints regarding the food.

This is a small country house hotel and the staff are very friendly. The setting is lovely with views of the mountains and lake nearby including the swans. Excellent breakfast and service very attentive. You will need a car to get to the hotel as it is in a country village. Only fault was the heating was on too high and the hotel felt a little stuffy as a result. Otherwise, no complaints and would highly recommend.

The hotel is located in a beatiful landscape and property. Rooms very big, clean and with a gorgeous view over the river Shanon. Service very nice and discret. We strongly recommend the hotel. Ratio price/service excellent.

The hotel is about 15 mins outside Limerick city but the setting is beautiful, well kept gardens and overlooking a lake. The breakfast was good, rooms were clean. We stayed in a suite and the balcony view was not great. Overall the hotel was nice and I would stay there again.

We expected just a hotel room but we got an executive room in the grounds which was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
