Getting there:Whether travelling from north or south by car, we recommend that you take the highway exit on the A1 at “Firenze Nord”: follow the signs for the centre and the “viali di circonvallazione” . Continue towards the Fortezza da Basso - Exposition centre and looking for P.zza Indipendenza,we are at number 7. The Amerigo Vespucci airport is 5km from the centre of Florence, a taxi ride to the Hotel Castri takes approximately 15 minutes and costs 15-20 €. Otherwise outside of the airport take shuttle bus for the centre about 20 minutes. By train - as you walk out of the central railway station Firenze Santa Maria Novella, take the left exit, McDonald's side on the right side of McDonald's you find via Nazionale, walk in for 5 minutes you will see a square Piazza Indipendenza, we are the first hotel on your right side n.7.

Car parking:Agreement with a garage (Garage Nazionale) safe and guarded which is only at 100 meters, rates between 23 to 33 € per day. Valet park service in front of the Hotel Castri included. The car parking will be paid by the Clients directly to Garage Nazionale.
Child Policy:Free till two years, sleeping in the same bed of the parents.
Hotel is worth for next trip booking as hotel is clean and near to tourist attraction. Breakfast provided is good and variety. Suitable for multi-national traveller.
An extra pillow would have been nice. Bathroom very small. Nice gardens and good breakfast room. Relatively close to railway station.

Enjoyed staying at Castri Hotel. Centrally located only a few minutes from Railway Station, and quite close to Cathedral. The continental breakfast was excellent.
I enjoed staying in this hotel. The bathroom maybe needs renovation but the location, nice back jard and free Wi-Fi as well as nice stuff at reception makes this hotel a good choice!
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable for the two of us. Breakfast was the average continental fare. The Hotel itself was clean within walking distance from the train station. It has a nice garden at the rear. We enjoyed our stay here.

The Castri Hotel was in a great location very close to the SMN train station. The room was spatious (triple) and the staff was fairly helpful. It is still within walking distance to all the main sights around the river, but it does take about 10-15 minutes.
Hotel room very basic - worn and tired looking. Location good. 10 min walk to Train and bus station and walking distance to main attractions in Florence. Breakfast offered simple but enough to keep you going for the day. We would stay there again given price and location.
I had read some terrible reviews of this hotel before booking; however, our room was decent and the location is excellent. For the price, the hotel is a good bargain.

A 200 yard walk fron the Santa Maria railway station and close to the Central Market. Very good breakfast facilities and lovely gardens. Self service laundry facilities just around the corner. Reception staff speek English.
I loved my stay at Castri Hotel! It is a big hotel, very well located, big rooms, nice breakfast, the staff is not friendly but they are all polite, at a first look you will not think the hotel is clean due to some graffiti on the walls, but, don’t worry, it is very clean. I almost did not come to this Hotel due to some bad review I found, but , I am pleased that I didn’t stay elsewhere, the only thing this hotel needs is a bit of more attention to details, the important issues such as location , rooms, breakfast and safe environment , is all there. I would definitely stay there again.
Not very friendly staff but it was cheap and reasonably good breakfast. good location and room was large. courtyard was a bit noisy at night.

The hallway and other interior facilities not nice, but lovely garden. Mostly indifferent staff. Nice view of Il Duomo from room 333.
