Catalonia Berna Hotel Barcelona

I stayed in the hotel in a twin room. The room was quite comfortable, clean and of standard size. I also liked that curtains were very effective in blocking out the light so sleeping in was not a problem. The air conditioning was fairly quiet, which is not always the case in other hotels, so it was ok to leave it overnight. We were not subscribed to breakfast so I cannot comment on its quality. However, the hotel is located in Gothic Quarter and only two blocks from the main tourist and shopping street Las Ramblas, which is also home to two Gaudi’s buildings. Gaudi’s park is about 30 min walking distance and the same goes for the beach, which is on the opposite side. The hotel also has got private car park in the basemebt of the building and the time of our stay in July was 19 euro per day. I would definitely stay in this hotel again for its location and comfort. True 4 star hotel.

It is a real four start Hotel. The location is very good since the Hotel is in one of the best and elegant area of Barcellona as well as close to the center and walking distance form the Gaudi's Houses. The Buffet served in the morning is outstanding for the quality and the variety

- Poor service at the reception. Hotel staff tries to make ten things at the same time. Expensive and poor internet in the lobby 2€/10min. + Nice room. Good breakfast.

the hotel is really well located (walking distance from the main spots), very clean and the rooms are quiet. Easy to drive there and you can leave your car at the parking and envoy the city.

Everything is very good ( breakfast, big room with balcony, and staff is very warm) except for the expensive internet. It cost 22 Eurons for 1 day!

A lovely hotel, the staff were very helpful and very friendly. Rooms facing outside were the better ones, the others were dark & you could see very clearly into the rooms opposite. Would definately return.

The hotel was very well maintained and clean, the choice of tv channel whilst relaxing in your room is not very english friendly. The location was great as only a ten minute walk from Ramblas and the bathroom and shower was very nice. The hotel is very loud and unable to not hear the cleaners doing their rounds in the morning, but all in all I would recommend this hotel.

yes I'd stay here again, no atmosphere in the bar but why would you want to stay in when you have Barca all around you

Bigger than average rooms for Barca, you can walk to most places from here within 10 to 15 minutes and it's not as busy as right in the centre. I would stay again.

This beautiful hotel is in an ideal location just 5 minutes from the main strip.

We were very satisfied with the way we were met during our stay at the hotel; including help to get in contact with a doctor when one of us were ill. We also ate dinner in the hotel´s restaurant two nights, and found the menu and the food very good, and reasonably priced. Breakfast also was good and very varied, - but this we found a little expensive. We can truly recommend the hotel, in the very beautiful city of Barcelona.

We enjoyed very much our stay at the hotel. The service was good, the staff very kind, and the location very central. It included a buffet breakfast with a large variaty. Will probably stay there again when in Barcelona.

The staff and management at the Hotel were very nice. They could not do enough to make sure you stay was a pleasant one. The range and quality of food for breakfast was great. It was an ideal location only a short walk to the made street. I will be recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. I would once again like to thank the staff and management for a wonderful stay. THANK YOU

Quality-price ratio of the hotel is very very good.

This was a good hotel internally modern with an old facade. The rooms are of a good standard and very clean. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast excellent - huge selection of food hot and cold. 10 -15 minute walk to Placa di Catalonia (depending on your pace).

Upon arriving to check in we were informed that the hotel had overbooked their rooms. Immediately we were upgraded to another hotel in their chain, taxi to the hotel at their cost, greeted warmly and given an awesome room. Their service was excellent, thank you again for a great time in Barcelona.

Quite modern and good facility and location. Less than 10 minutes on foot to an metro station.

Very good service, staff polite and helpful for the price the service level and facilities could not be faulted. Excellent value for money. Would stay again if and when we came to Barcelona again.

This hotel was a real pleasant surprise. The friendliness of the staff immediately put us the weary travellers at rest. The room was really clean and the buffet breakfast really helps to set you up for the day! We found the location grand as it was only a short distance to Plaza Catalunya without being in the midst of the noise itself. Compared with other hotels in the area, the rate was really good and would definately be a place I would recommend to others.
