The Catalonia Centro, which opened in June 2005, is housed in a 19th Century building. Small entrance, not particular communicative staff at reception desk. Good location for shopping in the area with exclusive shops. Nice Breakfast, again not very communicative staff in breakfast area.

A very pleasant hotel, twenty-five metres from a Metro Station, (Velasquez), comfortable beds, excellent bathroom, good hot and cold breakfast buffet, helpful staff on reception. Quite expensive - but this can be expected for a four star hotel in the middle of a busy shopping area in a capital city. Recommended.
The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly, the best I have come across so far. Location was ok on the metro, we had no problems with it
