Catalonia Excelsior Hotel Valencia

Service was very good & towels were changed every day. The only criticism was that the drain in the bathroom was very "smelly" at times. Buffet breakfast was sufficient & the service was very friendly. Location was excellent being close to the old part of the city, the metro & buses. My wife & I had a very enjoyable couple of days even though she spent a fortune at the LLadro factory!!

I can't really fault the hotel other than on price - and since it was Fallas week it is only to be expected that all the prices go up - but it did seem an outrageous price for what was a very small room!

Excellent location within easy walking distance of Old Town. Marina and promenade.. Hotel needs to facilitate guests with a secure supervised area for luggage, after check-out. pending later departure.

Excellent location for the old city and with good transport links. The accommodation was of a high standard. The one downside was that the reception seemed chaotic at times - I encountered a long delay when checking in on arrival.

Hotel is in an excellent location and good value for money. We choose this hotel over others though because it had a bar - this is a very loose term and service was unfortunately very slow with limited drink options (they had no white wine?!). Apart from that very good and would go back for location.

The hotel is very centrally located. The staff were extremely helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. There was a good selection of food. The bedroom was small but adequate for a city break and cleaned daily. Drink at the hotel was very expensive but there are plent of bars etc. locally. Valencia is a fabulous place to visit with plenty of sight seeing and restaurants to be enjoyed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The Hotel was very well located ,only a few minutes walking distance from many places of interest. Staff at reception desk were very friendly and the only people in the whole town that we could comunicate in English with , one girl did actually speak with a strong British accent - she was Spanish though !!! Also the breakfast staff was friendly and reponded very quickly to all our requests, and the buffet brekfast was sufficient to keep us walking for 4 -5 hours until the lunch meal.

Highly recommended - nothing to fault here at all.

The only problem was the Internet connection. I paid 13 euros per day for a low rate 24h Internet connection. Many other hotels offer Internet as free facility.

This hotel is in an excellent location for sights and shopping and would recommend it. The only down side was that we requested a double but got a twin and that is all they have!!! But a bit of fiddling and sheet rearranging and you get the biggest double bed ever. The maid's are helpful and nice. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Valencia is a lovely city and very nice for a relaxing break. Visit 'the bar which is just near the hotel, friendly and speak a little english too.

very close to everything the main train station is a short walk away the area is very safe and very clean what a beautiful city would visit again enjoyed my stay

Very central - near the railway station and the Barrio Carmen, an area full of restaurants and bars. Friendly, helpful staff.

THe Hotel is located in the middle of the city centre but in a quiet corner so a very nice location for tourist sites. facilities were very good and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was not very good. It is very good value for money. It is also 10 minutes away from the metro line connecting to the airport and the beach.

Hotel excellent for location and price but fairly basic although does have small bar/lounge in the lobby area and restaurant (for breakfast only). Only real criticism was I found the hotel a bit noisy with some plumbing noise (running water) and the fact that the room doors shut with a slamming noise however careful you are with shutting the door! However, street noise is minimal even at front of hotel.

At 100m from the plaza mayor. In a small street without traffic, with excellent restaurants every 5 steps...

This hotel is located at the centre of Valencia. It's location ia excellent. The breakfast is not good at all for the price you pay!!!
