Catalonia Giralda Hotel Seville

The hotel itself was located within an easy, safe walk from the historic Barrio Santa Cruz, with plentiful restaurants, tapas bars, nightlife, and numerous historical buildings, including the Giralda Cathedral. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with all our questions. The only thing that I could suggest is that the bar could be a bit more inspiring. It was sleek and modern, but almost too sterile, with limited choices, and lacking in character equal to that of the hotel and it's location. The taxi called by the hotel for our return to the not too distant airport charged 6 euros more than the taxi from the airport, for the identical distance. They are unmetered, so establish the price with the driver at the front desk.

A perfectly good place to stay, more like a 3- than a 4-star hotel, though.

Christmas time is a quiet period and the hotel was not busy and therefore lacked atmosphere but we had a comfortable stay and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

This is a very clean and quite lovely hotel for the price. The staff is friendly and seems genuinely intent on accommodating the requests of its guests. Location (about midway from Santa Justa and the Giralda) is a negative--you still need a cab from the station and you're a bit too far to have easy access to the city center. Breakfast was a nice buffet but the food could have been hotter. All in all a pleasant place to stay if you don't mind the walk to city center.

We found the room very clean and the service helpful but would have preferred staying a bit closer to the center of town. The price was excellent.
