"Although the checking-in service was excellent, and the room and surroundings were fantastic, the service of breakfast was not to the same standard. The serving dishes were not topped up on a regular basis thus leaving very little for those coming in 1/2 - 3/4 hour before the end of breakfast. Also, the waiting staff at breakfast were not the most attentive or the friendliest. However, everything else about the hotel and staff could not have been better." - Joyce Lamond

"This hotel is perched on the top of hill overlooking the harbour and therefore has excellent views. Unfortunately in order to walk to and from the town there is a very steep incline to tackle and although my wife and I are fairly fit we found it very hard work. A better menu in the hotel dining room might have resulted in less journeys into town. " - Barrie Tipping
