Hotel Catalonia Port, inaugurated in 2008, is located in the heart of the city centre from the Barrio Gótico in Barcelona, close by the Ramblas and the harbor. The hotel is in a privileged location, for easy access to the main attractions, in the cultural and commercial area. This hotel has 41 modern rooms with air conditioned, TV, telephone, internet connection(WIFI) free, mini bar, roomsafe, and complete private bathroom. Furthermore the hotel offers a bar, breakfast buffet, internet area with computers and free WIFI access throughout the hotel. There also is a swimming pool with solarium. A new Restaurant is now open at Catalonia Port, "El Racó del Port", with Mediterranean cuisine, it's open from Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner (13:30-15:30 and 19:00-22:30)

Getting there:
This hotel is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of the city, very near the port and beach area of the city. From here you can also easily get to a number of renowned spots in the city on foot; Las Ramblas ,Via Laietana, the Cathedral and the Picasso Museum.

Unfortunately there were very small ants in the room - mainly in a corner on the floor but they came also to the bed. The housekeeping/cleaners should have seen them, but nothing happened. Some of the staff at the reception could speak better English (but it seemed to be surprisingly difficult to get service in English also elsewhere in Barcelona - fortunately we knew a little Spanish)!

Great location (walking distance of all major sights, marina, beach and las ramblas), hotel is only 1 month old so very new and clean, found distinct lack of atmosphere within hotel though. Would suit young singles/couples. Would def recommend as reasonable too.
