Catalonia Portal De L'Angel Hotel Barcelona

Hotel has a central location and is just a short walk to many landmarks and very close to all forms of public transportation. The hotel had excellent customer service, they even recommended a restaurant (The Attic) that was the great food and an amazing rooftop terrace located in the middle of Las Ramblas. The only downside was that the A/C wasnt working great so if you are going in the summer, this is something to keep in mind. The rooms were very clean and the premium rooms were nicely decorated. I would recommend the Hotel to anyone that wants to be right in the Heart of Barcelona without spending a fortune.

Great hotel in a GREAT location just next to placa catalunya and in the heart of shopping area!!everything was excellent,the staff friendly and helpful!!totally recommend it if you want to be in the city centre!!i will go again to the same hotel sometime!!

I liked staying at Catalonia hotel. Friendly staff and its location is excellent. However, I didn't like the fact that the safe is charged for 5 Euros per night plus a deposit of 50 Euro !.

When I stayed there was some building works being carried out on a hotel opposite which resulted in being woken up every morning (other than on the Sunday morning). Would have liked to have known about this in advance.

This hotel is the perfect location for the tourist holiday! The service is good with a quality breakfast buffet with lots of choice, not just a poor european breakfast. The only downside was the view from the room which was none existant, but you dont go on holiday to look out of your window so very good marks from me and i would definatly stay there again if i was to return to Barcelona.

This was the second year in a row that I was staying at the hotel. I like this hotel very much; the service is really good, rooms are nice and location is absolutely perfect. I'll be back for sure.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Catalonia Albinoni and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Barcelona. The hotel is well situated just off Paza de Catalunya, so an ideal base for getting round all of the city. The rooms are comfortable, clean and are either at the front of the hotel with a small balcony (not suitable for sitting on) or at the back with not such a good view, however, nice sized private balcony with table and chairs. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Brilliantly located, yards from the true centre of the City. Ideal for short break because everything on the doorstep, including City Bus tours. Hotel tasteful, clean and good breakfasts. Airport bus delivers to top of street. Las Ramblas only a one minute walk away, which shows the true spirit of Barcelona. Walking distance to harbour, gothic quarter, shops, museums and very decent restuarants. We enjoyed a full 5 days and packed lots in because of locality of hotel. Would definitely stay there again!

Hotel is in a very good position, just minutes from Catalunya Placa where many bus trips etc. start. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast, lots of choice, in an outside covered conservatory. Would stay there again.

A fine looking hotel on a pedestrian street. Approx 200m from Plaza Catalonia and the Cathedral. About the same distance from the Ramblas via a cut-through (handy for a supermarket). Large, confortable rooms and lovely marble tiled bathroom. Good, efficient service and nice breakfast room in courtyard. A good base to explore the amazing Barcelona.

Hotels was excellent value, staff were always helpful.

Ideal location for shops, bars, restaurants, places to see. Quiet rooms in what is a busy, noisy city. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended
