Catalonia Rubens Hotel Barcelona

Need better directions how to get to hotel from Metro stop. We walked four hours to find our hotel when it was only 5 minutes from the metro stop. Went the wrong way and nobody could tell us how to get there in English. Had no luck trying to hail a cab either. Accomodations were great and easy to get Metro and short walking distance to Guell Parc.

A very nice hotel with good facilites. The service was good and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Our only problem was the location, was a little far out from the major sights that we wanted to see. However there was public transport that took us everywhere we wanted to go. Overall a good hotel and great if you dont mind a little bit of travelling to and from as the price was much better than what we would have paid to be closer in the central Barcelona.

Directions on how to get to the hotel should be clearer, specially on which exit ti take from the Vallcarca station. I walked half an hour at night without finding the hotel and finally took a taxi. A pity when the hotel is less than 10mn walking from the station. Otherwise, nice hotel, good service, well priced.

Nice hotel with convenient location. Price is also good for short stay. Just beside the Gruel Park which is famouse one.

In general, I had a good experience while staying at this hotel for 6 days (42 Euros per night special). The staff were nice and very helpful. However, finding it turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. If you are going there by metro (at Vallacarca), make sure you take the exit at the RIGHT once you exit the station and go up the escalator. Then walk up to and across the bridge, turn left when you reach the end and you can't miss it. My only other issue is that they charge 1 Euro per ten minutes to use the internet. That's criminal!

Very nice hotel, loved it

We wanted a double room and we got a room with 4 beds, which was uncomfortable since the rooms are not that big. The bathroom had just one light working. They ask for deposits for about averything. The service was good and the breakfast was really good.

An excellent Hotel and quite convenient to local Metro Station.

Hotel is spotless in every aspect. Rooms were quite and of adequate size with air-conditioning. Lovely roof-top area where you can relax,with view over the city. 7 minute walk to nearest Metro,with 10 minute journey to city centre. Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent. Altogether a very pleasant Hotel. Good value.

was fine close enough to city centre to allow us to return to hotel to sleep in the afternoon and then to go again into town in the evening convenient for metro

I really enjoyed my stay there. Because of the nice room and the very friendly people. The metro is nearby and it is a quiet neighbourhood. The underground parking is a definitely bonus.

Good rece3ption, atencious and kind. Advice to put an alarm clock in the apartments and sleepers as the floor is wooded so we faced problems with the cold. Thank you.

Although it is a bit out of town, the hotel is a good place to stay.. Good size room, and a nice view of the hills above Barcelona.

WE had just come from Venice paying over EUR100 per night so this was a nice relief to find a clean and friendly hotel for this money. At first it appears a long way off, it is clearly not in the center, but it is right next to Parc Guell and really easy to catch the bus or metro from just down the road. In addition it gets you out of the noise of La Rambla area. I would certainly recommend it as it is a safe bet. Staff also very helpful. The solarium is actually a rooftop sundeck.
